The Aberdeen Law Project

About The Aberdeen Law Project

As a student-led project, we operate to provide legal assistance and representation, educational and community outreach programmes.

The Aberdeen Law Project Description

Casus Omissus, or the ‘The Aberdeen Law Project’ as we are publicly known, is the first purely student-led law clinic in Scotland. Our clinic, primarily exists in order to provide legal representation and educational programs to members of the public who would otherwise not have access to such assistance. The aim of the Project is thus threefold; to secure access to justice for the economically deprived; to provide students with practical experience under the supervision of practitioners; and to increase opportunity by undertaking educational outreach projects. As the name Casus Omissus suggests, the clinic will only provide assistance where there is no other recourse available.
