Tucked away, off Easter Road and behind Hibs football ground is a hidden gem of creativity fondly known as 'The Albion'
The Albion , made up of a number of Edinburgh's few remaining Victorian industrial buildings, houses in its many workshops and studios a wealth of creative talents. Many skills are represented here including glass working, leather working, textile printing, upholstery, guitar making, illustration, photography and perhaps the largest collection of furniture makers, in any one place, in the whole of Scotland.
Many people have come and gone from the Albion but still have a strong affiliation with it and are represented here also. The Albion is far more than a bunch of studios and workshops - its a very social working environment where everyone knows each other and as such some great working collaborations have come from it.
Please take a moment to look at the quality of work (there are 31 albums of quality work here - why not look at them all! ) that comes out of The Albion and those still connected to it. It's something we're all very proud of.
