The Amazing Thomas

Thomas is a three legged cat who lives with his cheeky sister Tila in Glasgow, Scotland

Hi, my name is Thomas and I was born with a deformed back leg. I was rescued as a baby by Cats Protection Giffnock and District Branch as I was running around wild on a farm near Glasgow, Scotland, with my little sister Tila. With my back leg problem, I could easily have ended up with a wound and infection which could have been fatal. I was fostered with my sister and Cats Protection raised lots of money to take me to the Small Animal Hospital at Glasgow University where I had an operation to turn my leg into the correct position. The surgery was successful but after several months of treatment the skin died and the only option left was amputation. It was really hard learning to walk again on three legs and it took quite a few weeks before I became confident. Now, there is no stopping me! And after all the time we spent going back and forward to the hospital and the vet my fosterer and I became very close and she has adopted me and Tila. So I have a forever home with my little sister and I am very grateful to Cats Protection Giffnock and District Branch for going above and beyond the call of duty to help me. Love. Thomas xx
