The Angus Hotel

This hotel is dated. Its in need of modernisation and the pool changing is a bit grubby. You have to walk past where the staff smoke to get to the pool and if the door is open, which it often is it stinks of smoke.

Had a wkend here for a tribute night. Arrived on Friday 13 October double room was fine clean. 3 course evening meal was nice had breakfast great lots of food yum. Tribute night was a great laugh Neil Dimond & Johnny cash. 3 course meal again was good & breakfast. Had a quick swim before we left. We had a great wkend and will definitely be back :-)

Great weekend. Pool and Spa was good nice and clean. Food was great.

Friendly & helpful staff . Good banter with bar staff. Good food . Clean & comfy room .will come back excellent value .show weekend.

Excellent menu for lunch... And nice friendly service... Nothing over priced and nicely presented.

booked single room for two nights. My room was difficult to find on arrival (unhelpful receptionist) when I did I was shocked at the size, it was like a prison cell, it smelled and was boiling hot and the windows only opened 2 inches. The bed and shower room were clean, but the furniture was horrible and the green velvet chair was filthy. I had a restless night due to the heat. I didn't bother with breakfast as i just wanted to leave, I handed my key to the receptionist telling her I was checking out and wouldn't be back, she showed no interest at all as to why, I assume it happens too often for her to care. This hotel has lost its way as regards the guest experience, if you can tolerate more than one night, I tip my hat to you.

Came here some years back on my motorcycle to know some friends mom and got showed in!
Had great simple meals, read a lot and slept like a bear!
Had to stay for a few days until a griding truck with a showel opened the way to the highway going north to Aberdeen...
Did it very slowly with the bike sort of dancing between my legs because of the slippery conditions! Wow!

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE SERVICE. FELT SORRY FOR THE STAFF AS THEY WERE RUN OFF THEIR FEET. CLEARLY THIS IS DOWN TO EXTREMELY POOR MANAGEMENT . IT WAS THE SLOWEST SPEED OF SERVICE I HAVE PROBABLY EVER EXPERIENCED, WE WERE IN THE PLACE FOR AGES AS WE HAD TO WAIT SO LONG TO GET OUR FOOD SERVED TO US! AVOID AT ALL COST!!

Great place to stay. Warm welcome, rooms tidy and comfy same as beds. Pool great, water warm which is great for small kids. We will be back this year for sure. Highly recommend!
