About The Arch Inn, Ullapool

Situated on the shores of Loch Broom with magnificent views over the Fannich hills, The Arch Inn is the ideal base to explore the North West Highlands.

The Arch Inn, Ullapool Description

The Arch Inn opened in 1973 on the site of the first building built by the British Fishing Society when Ullapool was being established over 200 years ago. Originally it was an Inn and store for fishermen and fish curers, with stabling through the archway for the horses that carried goods overland to the village. Over the years The Arch Inn has changed many times, but still remains at the heart of the village for locals and tourists alike.

Situated on the shores of Loch Broom with magnificent views over the Fannich hills, it makes us the ideal base to explore the Scottish Highlands, or stop over if you’re up on business. We look forward to welcoming you.

Happy Sunday everyone!!
Todays Roasts are a Hay Baked Leg of Lamb served with a Mint Jus or alternatively a wonderful Nut Roast. Both are served with Sweet Potato Mash, Roast Potatoes and Root Vegetables.
All served from 12noon until 9pm.

User

absolutely first rate meal. The steak was sublime. Chilli burger....hhheeelloooo... AWESOME!! Staff brilliant. Thankyou. Great value for money, 3 adult meals and one kids cost only £15 more than the chippy. No comparison, well worth it!

User

Wonderful meal as always on Saturday night. HUGE langoustines and great selection of Scottish cheese on the cheese board. My friend had ox cheek, and she's still raving about the accompanying smoked mash using your own smoked butter no less. Ambience, staff and craic superb and welcoming. Can't wait for my next visit and a pint or 2 of your locally brewed An Teallach ale.

User

We've eaten here a number of times and have never been disappointed. A cut above the rest of the local competition in terms of quality and price, I would highly recommend it to both locals and tourists alike. It is a shame they do not have a bigger space as I am sure they would fill it. Tonight I had the cod special, perfectly cooked, reasonably priced, attentive service.... what's not to like!!

User

The food was delicious and very well prepared!

I didn’t book a table and even though it’s was packed I was able to get dinner in the bar.

User

Recommended by our B&B hostess. Very friendly atmosphere in the bar area with great live music. No reservations for the restaurant, it's turn up and wait. The wait was short and well worth it; the food superb as was the service.

User

My husband and I stayed there for 1 night and had dinner and breakfast and their restaurant. Room are modern and with all amenities expected , dinner and breakfast were both very nice. Great value for money, highly recommended

User

Live music from Dave Cowan and son, on drums. It was wet n cold outside.

But, hot n funky in doors.

Local ale, very good. Didn't eat, but will tomorrow night.....fish n chips!

User

Had lunch and dinner here and can't rate this place enough. If you love food, flavour and quality then this is the place. Fresh fish and amazing dishes Special note is the best brownie I have ever had (and we have had a few) get the orange brownie its gooey goodness!!

User

Had a night over in Ullapool but didn’t stay at the Arch Inn, however we had a meal there on the Saturday evening. Can’t fault anything, staff very attentive, food great and a fabulous atmosphere. Highly recommend this little gem of a place!!

User

Good beer,atmosphere,and food 🍻🍻🍻

User

Firstly, may I say the food was excellent. However, we waited for just under 2 hours for a table as they don't take bookings. Make sure if you go your there latest 6.30pm as people behind us were turned away as they stop serving at 9pm. By the time we got to our table they had ran out of Langoustines and sole.. bummer as that was what we where going to have.. what we had though was excellent and the staff are excellent too. Would be happy to return for both

User

Fantastic helpful staff with a great range of food and drinks for all the family. Lovely to sit outside and enjoy the view.

User

Excellent. Had a lovely dinner. Great service and good food.

User

Doing the route 500 stopped over at the Arch Inn ... what a fab find ... room with a view to die for ... food in restaurant fantastic..bar is jumping overall a great base ... looking forward to returning...

User

Absolutely beautiful monk fish with lemon crushed potatoes it was very busy for a tuesday night but we managed to get a seat pretty quick!

User

(Unfortunately) We stayed there for ONLY one night.

Very warm welcome - with the information that there will be live music tonight at the bar.

The room was perfect with a really nice view.

Then we had dinner there - very tasty - and afterwards we moved to the bar. Music was made by Ruairidh Maclean. The guy is amazing!!! What a fantastic evening ...the best during 14 days Scotland!

User

Clean & tidy, helpful and polite staff, food in the pub was excellent, comfy bed and a cracking breakfast, oh and a view to rival any other.

User

The accommodation was small and adequate, check in at the bar, dinner was quite good but the dining room is noisy. The rooms do not have any soundproofing we could listen to next doors TV shows. BAthrooms clean and adequate.

User

Food in restaurant was fab so really looked forward to breakfast, what a disappointment! Cereal and juice on cold table, nothing else! No fruit, no yogurt, no bread, croissants etc. Waiter had mentioned grapefruit but again, none on the table. I decided to save myself for the mallaig smoked salmon and scrambled egg from cooked menu but they didn’t have any. Waiter was helpful and offered fresh berries, when I said there were none on the table he offered to bring some from the kitchen. I’m afraid we left with nothing. Room was lovely and clean and had everything we needed however it wasn’t ready when we arrived well after designated arrival time. So on reflection wouldn’t stay over again
