The Ashvale

The Ashvale Portlethen. Just had a fish supper. Fish was good. However, the chips were dry as a bone and over cooked. Probably last night's chips. Need to provide good food as cost in total over £19.

We went here as a large group who hadn't booked and were accommodated very well. The staff were very helpful even offering to see if we could get some things that weren't on the menu. The food was delicious and punctual (which was great considering the large group size). Sadly they were out of the "whale" but I'm sure I'll come back some time to tackle it.

Over priced, poor quality and terrible service, even overheard the kitchen staff shouting between each other 'is that burger ready yet' to which the other replied 'we aren't f***King burger king'... We know this because they actually would do a better job!

Poor service from staff who clearly didn't want to be there. Sub average fish and chips. Try "chips on the green" way better and only a few minutes drive away.

Best fish and chips in town. And where else will you get those hand sizes onion rings, they're so tasty.

Apple crumble more like bowl of watery apples no crumble no cream fish rotton chips stale never again

Their chips are cold and hard, almost like they were made the day before. The staff leave a lot to be desired, almost as if it's too much bother to be polite and have a smile on their faces.
