The Atmospheric Railway Inn Description
The Atmospheric Railway Inn at Starcross is now under the careful and passionate stewardship of Aimie Harley and Hugh O’Rourke. Following an extensive refurbishment the pub has been completely refreshed, creating more space for customers and a much more welcoming environment.
An experienced chef, Aimie’s menu is focused on fresh, homemade meals including traditional classics such as beer battered fish and chips, homemade cottage pie, fish chowder and much more. Aimie and Hugh have taken care to maintain the pub's traditional feel and all items of local and historic interest have been retained (the parrot has gone but the warning sign remains just in case). There are now 8 Westcountry ales and ciders on tap, complemented by a range of quality wines, spirits and soft drinks including wonderful juices produced in Devon.
Food is served all day from midday with last orders taken at 8pm (Tuesday to Saturday). Food is served from midday until around 4pm on Sundays.
Free Wi-Fi and BT Sport is available and most major payment cards are accepted (cashback is also available). The pub boasts a separate function room and an enclosed garden. The pub sits opposite its own car park, the Exe Estuary walking /cycle trail and Starcross train station - most definitely a pub worth stopping for!
