The Bach

A hidden gem in Dundee. Really nice decor, great coffee and the food is delicious. Well worth a visit.

I went to the Bach for brunch this weekend this weekend, and it was a really lovely experience! The coffee is amazing- perfect silky New Zealand style with beans roasted in Scotland! Both me and my partner had a cooked breakfast; everything was very tasty, and there was huge attention to detail. This was the overarching theme of the visit; everything seemed to be prepared with a lot of thought and care. The cafe staff were especially friendly and the ambiance of the cafe was really chilled; I'll definitely be back!

The perfect breakfast experience. I have systemically gone through all the top brunch joints in Edinburgh and ddundee, and the Bach is as good as it gets. They serve perfect kiwi style coffees (it is a kiwi owned establishment) with wonderful service, cool ambiance. For food we tried the Bach brunch, which is their full British breakfast. It came with home made sausages and baked beans, both perfectly seasoned and tasty. The poached eggs were all also done to runny perfection. Can't wait to go again!

Lovely New Zealand style place to eat, unusual location up a series of metal steps, and nice and airy inside. Food was good (we didn't have space for dessert though!), staff were friendly, and they had L&P (Lemon & Paeroa, a NZ soft drink) on the drinks menu which brought back memories for me! Would definitely go again!
Oh yes, and the name's pronounced like "batch" (comes from "bachelor", I think, and is a modest beach house or holiday home).

Excellent tapas style food. Bring your own wine £5 corkage. Friendly helpful efficient staff. We will be back.

Super friendly, chilled out atmosphere and yummy food.
Went for lunch with my sausage dog Frank who was also made most welcome. They brought a bowl of water and a dish for his sausage. We will definitely be back 🐕❤

The best coffee in Dundee hands-down. So much attention is paid to the flavour, all staff are consistently good at making all the different coffees, and it's the first place in Dundee to try out the V60/Syphon etc.

Food is also excellent - high quality ingredients prepared with care. I've seen the owners in here poring over the menus for hours, making sure every decision is the right one. Vegan options are excellent and varied.

Good food, friendly casual service. GREAT coffee. Decor feels a little unfinished and sparse in places, perhaps more than the deliberately rustic theme allows. Still, would recommend. Dog friendly too!

Popped in here yesterday and we were not disappointed. Do yourself a favour ,if you love fabulous food served by pleasant efficient staff this is a must oh and the coffee is awesome !

A group of 12 of us came here on a Sunday night and were greeted with great food and lovely staff. Mains puddings and a cheeseboard. We tried it all. Delicious! Definitely going back.
