We had a superb night at the five course tasting menu evening on the 18th of August.

We were welcomed warmly at the main door and shown upstairs to our table, which was ours from 7pm onwards.

It’s a BYOB event and we were given a smashing big bucket of ice for our prosecco and wine.

There were fairy lights everywhere and the tables were beautifully set.

There was a plate of tasty bread and herb butter on the table which was quickly polished off, and very kindly refilled by the lovely Louise, one of the smashing staff there on the night.

The food, what can I say, Liam you ROCK!!!

The five courses were stunning, beautifully presented, so tasty, each course carefully thought out so as to bring out the best in each and every ingredient.

The scallops were cooked to perfection, cucumber and crab are a match made in heaven, the salmon was a delight, the vegetarian haggis was quite simply delicious, and to finish it all off desert containing BBQ ice cream, wow, just wow.

Me thinks they need a five star rating for the cheeky comment on Sun but will definitely have to go for a meal .

See you all soon

Lovely food, always very well presented. Always a wide vegetarian selection too, which is important to me :-)

Fun and quirky with staff who are lovely and clearly passionate about what they do. Amazing coffee, delicious food and always excited to see what their coleslaw of the day will be. A hidden gem in the city and one I am glad to have discovered.

All the food no matter what is the boss! Could even be a simple sandwich and it's still outstanding.
