we booked the Barleycorn for a baby reveal party in the snug. what can I say James and Shibhon were terrific allowing us to decorate they way we wanted it. The buffet they provided was fantastic we had chicken pakora,chips, nuggets,several kinds of wraps and plenty to go round. the balloons had glitter everywhere a lot of places would not allow this and charge cleaning up. I would totally recommend booking this place you won't be disappointed. thanks James and Shibhon for making our day so special xxx

I had my Son communion in there 2day n they decorated the hall for me which was lovely buffet was lovely bar staff where brilliant the cake was beautiful n the dj was great they made my sons day perfect thank you x

Just wanted to say a massive thank you for all your hard work and effort organising my nieces baby shower, it was a great day, couldn't have asked for anymore, buffet was amazing not to mention the chocolate fountain which was a big hit, staff done a great job, thank you so much x

Had my baby shower here yesterday and couldn't have asked for a better stress free day , thanks to all the barley corn staff for taking their time to organise all the decorations balloons banners all the tables etc , they did an amazing job , also the buffet was definitely 10/10, the girls behind the bar couldn't have done a better job would definitely recommend this to everyone

Had my 30th here last night & had an amazing night. Food was great as was service and staff! DJ Paul was absolutely amazing. Not one complaint. Siobhan and Paul went above and beyond to help my boyfriend with his surprise proposal. Can't thank you all enough. Would definitely book here again without a doubt. �

Had my 21st in here on Saturday night and OMG it was amazing!!! £50 (£100 but you get 50 back if nothing is damaged) is more than reasonable considering you're getting a hall and a DJ for that. Nothing was too much of an ask and everybody enjoyed themselves (including myself). I ran out of table cloths halfway through decorating the hall and Siobhan the owner gave me more, saving me having to go out and buy them! She gave me a courtesy call on the day to make sure I had everything and we were good to go and was more than courteous the day and the day after my party. I can't thank the staff, the DJ and Siobhan enough...thanks for giving me a 21st I'll never forget � �

Had a great night for my niece's birthday party,great pub and atmosphere,The buffet is amazing !! The owners do it themselves,the pakora is to die for,as is the rest of the food .Would highly recommend this establishment ! The public bar is so friendly,the karaoke was a brilliant end to our night. Thank you for the hospitality 10 out of 10 ! X😍😍😍😍😍

Don't usually leave feed back anywhere but I felt I had too! Had my baby shower on Saturday and had a brilliant day the Dj was great played all different music for all ages highly recommend! The girl behind the bar (didn't get her name) done a fantastic job she was so helpful from helping my mum set up the hall to serving behind the bar on her own to helping clear up at the end couldn't fault anything about her she is a credit to your company! Thank you so much would definitely recommend & book again for another function well worth the money!

<3 <3 Thank you so much Siobhan and all the staff for all your help last night at our Fundraising 80s Night in aid of Cystic Fibrosis and The Butterfly Trust Scotland. You were all amazing. <3 <3 I would just like to thank each and every one of yous for your amazing support in making our Fundraising Event a huge success. The Just Giving Page has raised £322 so far and last night's event we raised £1243. So far we have a GRAND TOTAL of £1565. Thank you all so so much <3 <3

Was at a friends surprise 30th on Saturday night & I'm Absolutely disgusted in how her mum has been treated! They are refusing to return her deposit as apparently there weren't 60 ppl in the hall (there was at least 67 maybe more) they didn't have draft Cola so paid a fortune for the bottles, the beer was flat, the place was roasting, staff attitude rotten & they refuse to give back a pensioners deposit coz they say they weren't 60ppl �

Rob pensioners of deposit and refuse to give it back! If you want to book a party in hamilton DONT book this place.drink and service is crap! Theres too many decent venues in hamilton to give these robbers a penny,and staff are downright ignorant!

Booked party was told £100 get £50 back if no mess n 60 guests . Went to pay deposit and asked did the 60 include kids was told yes ! Went to party they had no soda, no coke on draft drinks were warm and hot � ppl had to go to barr downstair for drinks . Asked for deposit back was told i didnt have 60 guests ??? I done rough count n had 67 inc kids and adults kids are guests too !!! They should state 60 adults . But now heard 4 more ppl have had same issue holding deposits. I am blocked from messenger and from reviewing page � guilty concience i think. Btw the party was for a 70 year lady for her daughter they wee lady is gutted!!

I was at a party my sister organised for her friends surprise 30th. The staff were so ignorant the drink was flat and warm and there was no toilet roll in the ladies toilets. The place is badly managed and the worst bit is they refuse to return your deposit. Everyone stay clear of this place.

Had my wee girls communion there spent a fortune got told DJ was part of the package on the day I asked where the DJ was was told it wasn't part of the deal. Had to ask for music to be put on! The curry was really watery. The bar staff were very unfriendly, had to wait ages to be served! The list goes on! Only positive I can say it was the room was nicely dressed! Should bloody think so for the money I paid!

Absolutely disgusting how they treat paying customers and especially the elderly!! I for one will never step foot back in the place
