The Barn At Harburn

The Barn is an historic, private wedding and event venue set in the picturesque surroundings of Harburn Estate, West Lothian.

The Barn at Harburn provides a beautiful, tranquil and completely secluded setting for weddings. The Barn can hold up to 90 guests for dinner, and up to 140 evening guests. There are two large separate areas-the main Barn, and the Roundhouse, which you’ll see from the photos each have their own distinctive period character. This layout means you have plenty of flexibility in how your day pans out and the service, drinks reception and dinner can all be held under one roof. If you do have more than 90 guests, we can adjoin a marquee directly on to the main hall to extend its capacity. Guests have full access to our nine acres of landscaped gardens, lakes and parkland, and the grounds provide a beautiful backdrop for outdoor ceremonies and drinks receptions.

The Barn is often hired as “venue only”, in which case you would have complete freedom to choose your own caterers and suppliers, as well as free rein over how the venue is decorated and set up. However, if you do want help from us in organising the day there is lots of scope for that too. We have years of experience in organising weddings from top to toe The Barn’s owner, Kika White, is a florist and events designer by trade. We also have everything you might need for the reception-linen, glassware, crockery, table decorations-on site should you wish to make use of them. Also worth noting is that The Barn has a full professional kitchen.
