This is the homepage for 'the BEST defence', the original Martial Arts Centre in Angus, where we provide the HIGHEST standard martial arts instruction.

The BEST defence is the premier Martial Arts Centre in Arbroath, & was the first Martial Arts Centre in Angus. It offers the highest standard of instruction to all age groups, from one of the UK's most experienced & qualified instructors, Master at Arms Mark Davies.
We have NinjaSkool classes for 4 - 8 year olds. Junior Tactical Edge & Junior Combat Kickboxing classes for 9 years + . For adults & teens we have Senior Tactical Edge, Hybrid Combat Kickboxing, & ITF TaeKwon-Do. For Ladies only we have 'Femme Fatale' which is a real Kickboxing class, but for women only. As well as the Martial Arts classes we have Nicole Murray's 'Fighting Fit' fitness class.
Our centre is fully equipped with a variety of punchbags, body opponent bags, wooden dummy, Kettlebells, focus pads, kicking shields, & training weapons. Training is done on our permanently matted training areas, & our studio is a safe & friendly environment for you or your child to learn & develop in.
Chief Instructor, Master at Arms Mark Davies, has been an Instructor for 29 years, & has been training in the martial arts for 35, & he holds Blackbelt or Instructors credentials in 9 different martial arts! He is a world renowned authority on combatives & self defence, & is an instructor to an element of UK Special Forces.
