The Black Bull Hotel

We stopped in here for a meal after visiting nearby GoApe. The food was of a fantastic standard, good pub grub. I had macaroni cheese and it was really good, there were good choices with a range of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes to choose from. Desert was great too, traditional sticky toffee pudding. We sat in the bar beside an open fire keeping cosy.

After asking locals, this pub was recommended. The free shuttlebus service is a great thing for tourists at the local campsites. The food was a good size and was great quality, probably the best soup I've ever had. With reasonably priced menus, welcoming locals, and old fashioned style pub this is a great eatery. I cannot comment on the hotel, but it was fully booked, this may show that the service is good.

Staff were fantastic and catered for our dietary requirements perfectly. Highly recommended.

Delicious home cooked meals. Great selection of beers, ales, and liquors. Friendly staff not shy about making you feel like a local.

Very relaxing atmosphere. Dog friendly, staff very welcoming. Black bull transport there and back from black bull to campsite so we can both have a drink. Highly recommended.

Picked us up from campsite late afternoon. Had a great time and food then got taken back. They need to change leaflet to say just ring then for a lift at other times. Other pubs should follow threre example
