The Boat Inn

Staff wasn't too keen. We needes to ask for a vase for flowers and ask for pensils for kids. We had to ask for everything including drinks menu. Food wasn't too good, too little portions.

Great food, reasonably priced. Sunday roast was excellent, and great value for money. Good selection of local and national whisky.

Food and service was lovely. Very busy so definitely book to guarentee a table. We had the pigeon, pheasant, the chicken burger and the cheese platter which were all amazing.

Absolutely love this place. The food is awesome and such lovely friendly service. Great atmosphere, very welcoming. Thumbs up all round

Super classy, gorgeous room with a huge walk in shower, all the amenities with a queen size bed for the price of a single. Everything on the menu was delicious and the included breakfast had the best smoked salmon as well as the best full Scottish I had on my two week tour of Scotland. The room had a view of the river and there were many places to go hiking in the area. My favourite was being able to go for my morning run in the Cairngorms National Park, where I spotted deer. Stunning location. Really hope to stay there again one day.

Visited the Boat Inn with a large group of friends whilst we stayed in Aboyne. The upstairs is delightfully decorated and was a great place to sit for a meal. The food was good in places (the mushroom soup was great) and ok in others (steak pie could have been better) service was quick and staff quite friendly.

Very busy kitchen but still managed to squeeze us in. The shed pub was very nice and dog friendly.

As always the food is excellent. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend a visit.

Great fish and chips at very good value. Nice atmosphere.
