Wow what a place. Can honestly say it was one of the best meals I have ever eaten. I've never been on a boat to get to a restaurant before and to return with a clear sky and the stars was amazing. A special night with great friends and family.

Wonderful food and wonderful views!

What could be better than taking a short hop on the boat Ulva Ferry to have half a lobster freshly caught from the clear sea in front of you? I thought our meal couldn't be lovelier until we saw whitetail sea eagles flying in the distance! It really is worth the trip... in fact we may just come back for more.

Visited solo in June for a bit of a saunter round the island, on my return to the Boathouse, I had the most amazing lunch from the extensive menu, the Fisherman's catch, I'm not that keen on mackerel or oysters, so a couple of the items were substituted and boy was I glad, such a fresh plate of wonderful food, can't wait for the season to start again in the spring, thanks to all for such a great eating experience

User

This must be our 9th visit in the last 7 years. Pure chance would suggest that we should have had a bad experience by now. Nope !! The Boathouse breaks the laws of probability with its delicious potted crab and Ulva prawns. We'll be back in a few days.

User

There are not enough superlatives to describe the experience... We have been coming to Mull and also to Ulva since 1986. The Boathouse has changed quite a lot in that time, but is definitely our favourite place to eat prawns, lobster and oysters. A must-do while we're here!

I had good friends Dr. Ted and Annie Jones, with whom I used to sail and who lived on the island at Fisherman's Cottage. I've sailed into the anchorage there on several occasions and spent nights anchored in Gometra. For a place to go to get rid of mainland angst, it's pure heaven. I shall contact NW Woodlands to see if I can donate to any trust set up to buy it. Let's keep this little piece of heaven available for us small people.

First visit - coffee and cake to start the day, then a long and beautiful walk in order to do justice to extremely fresh prawns with garlic sauce, crusty bread and salad. Oh and more cake. Other half had cauliflower soup and goat's cheese, chili sauce and salad roll. Magic. And everyone very very friendly.

User

Fantastic food in a great environment with friendly efficient staff. The tastiest and best value langoustines I have ever eaten - and the potted crab is divine! Please carry on just as you are, Boathouse, you have got it so right. Unpretentious excellence

User

Brilliant what a fab place. Fantastic value and fantastic food. Local seafood in superb sandwiches or in a platter. Then on top of all that you get the scenary and the chilled atmosphere. Unbeatable ! Well done you guys keep it up and never change !
