The Bolt-Hole, Foyers Cottage

The Bolt-Hole in Foyers, is a quaint 1 bedroom ground floor linked cottage, which is part of a traditional terrace, over 100 years old, around the village green within the picturesque village of Foyers, Loch Ness. The cottage is equipped with a gas combi boiler central heating system with the added advantage of the open fire. This is an exremely cosy property, even in the depths of winter.
This cottage provides comfortable, home from home holiday accommodation with views over the green to the forests and distant hills to Loch Ness. Newly renovated and furnished to a very high standard, the living area opens out onto a south facing enclosed, gated, rear garden (open to the green) with garden furniture and barbecue for outdoor dining in the summer months. For visiting with children, there is a safe, enclosed, well-equipped children’s play area at the bottom of the green.
Accommodation comprises of a bright contemporary double bedroom with double bed and hypoallergenic duvets and pillows, DVD Player, hairdryer, etc. Hot water bottles and electric blankes are supplied in the colder months.

The Lounge, with double bed settee has an open fire, perfect for enjoying a cosy evening with a glass of wine. TV with freesat service, DVD player with huge Selecion of DVD’s, Bluetooth Player, books and games. (initial fuel supplied for the fire but further is available at the local village store)
Within the newly installed kitchen you have the luxury of cooking with AEG appliances comprising of, 2 ovens, microwave and coffee maker. To make your cooking experience easier and more enjoyable, we supply all the essentials, such as, salt, pepper, spices, oil and much more. We even leave you a 'wee dram' with some shortbread to toast your arrival to this beautiful part of the country. There is a five ring gas hob, dishwasher, washing machine, full fridge freezer and wine cooler. As an added extra we have installed a twin USB charging point. There also a Dining table and chairs.
Within the cottage there is a compact fitted bathroom with overhead shower, ambient dimmable lighting for relaxed bathing and a demisting touch shaving mirror, perfect for unwinding after an active day.
There is parking available at the rear of the cottage for one car but further parking available within the near vacinity.
The picturesque and historic village of Upper Foyers is situated in woods and hills on the quiet south side of Loch Ness and is an ideal choice for a peaceful Highland holiday. Foyers offers much outdoor enjoyment with a well maintained 22 mile network of paths for walkers, fishing, cycling, bird watching, abundant wildlife, quiet scenic picnic spots and magnificent views of Loch Ness and the spectacular surrounding hills, crags and lochans. The village of Foyers has a village shop with café, a tearoom and farmshop, and towards lower Foyers there is an Inn.
Adjacent to the café, only a short walk from ‘The Bolt-Hole’, are the spectacular Falls of Foyers, which can be seen and photographed by a footpath down to them.
Despite this rural tranquillity, the Highland capital city of Inverness is only 19 Miles away and provides shops, many restaurants, indoor bowling alley, cinema, theatre and lesuire centre with swimming pool.
The now well know beauty spot of Dores is only 10 miles away where you can have lunch, walk along the beach and do a bit of Nessie spotting! Exploring further by car can take you for the day to Skye, Ullapool, Fort William or Speyside.
Prices from £280 - £420 per week and from £60 per night (All electric, bed linen and towels are provided for your stay)
