The Bridge Cafe

Used to love this chippy but feel its gone down hill. To get a bag of chips your at least a 15 min wait the past couple of times ive been in so gave up and went elsewhere.

Used to find the place fantastic. But ordered through their website and waited over 90 mins for delivery. And food was cold. This really isn't acceptable. I think I will find an alternative in future

Best chippy I've ever been at. Everything cooked fresh. Always busy.

Used this F&C shop on first occasion, pretty good.
2nd time at 15 mins into a Saturday opening time I ordered F&C twice...drove home, less than 5 mins, they were cold and had shrunk.
Went back the following week, told the owner I thought they were re-heats, he blew a fuse and said I should have brought them back straight away and to get out of his shop.
The assistant behind the counter, I pointed out to the owner that it was the same girl that served me....by the look she gave him, and she didn't say anything to me,,,,,,they were re-heats!!!!!. I informed him I would never go back. The place was queued to the door....the way the owner behaved was not the way to conduct business, no tact, decorum, or an apology.
I would not recommend the Bridge F&C Shop to anyone.

The bridge used to be fantastic but the standard has definitely went on a steep decline. We have ordered a delivery on 2 occasions, both times took over and hour and the food was cold (despite living 5 minutes away). Ordered a pizza for collection online last time. I was stood waiting and had to personally approach staff myself to say I made an order after seeing it come out the oven and go into the holding bay. Pizza's used to be the best around but my last one didn't come close to how they used to be. Very disappointed. I Keep going back in case I went at a bad time before but feel the standard keeps slipping. No longer keen to return.

It is always busy at peak times, but seems quite efficient - and the queue moves pretty quickly. Good choice of tasty traditional chip shop meals and fancy modern pizza type meals. Good sized helpings too.

It's alright, it's not as good as the one in alloa called the Falcon

Best fish and chip shop in the area, although they actually sell far more than the traditional chippie. Source of today's fish and potatoes is always displayed.
