Excellent all round: welcoming staff, clean and comfortable room, great food. Couldn't fault it.

Best small hotel in Scotland. Nice rooms and a helpfull staff. Could have stayed for a whole week.

Only went for food. Service was excellent and the choices on the menu covered a wide range. Our food was absolutely delicious. Will definitely be coming back next time we're near.

Bed was incredibly uncomfortable, it sloped into the middle. The pillows were cheap and so soft that they offered no support whatsoever. There was no cold water from the taps in the room it was hot from both. Kettle was not clean which puts you off having a drink in the room. The food is overpriced for what it is. Although the main course was ok the dessert was just tasted of a cheap microwaves pudding. You would be more comfortable sleeping in the car.

Small but clean rooms. Had the sirloin steak burger. Was pretty taistless and the bar prices are expensive. Made us sit in the bar till 3pm waiting on our room even though the room was ready. So buy their expensive drinks in the bar while we were made to wait. Staff were nice though.

This is a lovely little hotel tucked away in the middle of nowhere, there's not much on offer in the way of things to do but there are some beautiful walks in the surrounding area and a great river if your into a spot of salmon or trout fishing. The rooms are a bit outdated but none the less very cosy & inviting.The food is very nice and tasty using all fresh ingredients & produce & the staff are all very friendly & helpful. If your looking for a quiet getaway for a couple of days then I would highly recommend staying here
