About The Broken Fiddle, Banff

Scottish family run business with freshly made, home cooked food in the heart of rural Banff. Named after the tragic Lament of James MacPherson.

The Broken Fiddle, Banff Description

The Broken Fiddle is the epitome of Scottish dining.
Based in the main center of the town, on the strait path, This inviting and immersive establishment is guaranteed to give you an authentic Scottish dining experience.

Thematically based around Robert Burn`s Famous 17th century scribe of the lament of James MacPherson, there`s a genuine history and authenticness to the area, being located in the same town the tragic event took place.

Inside we have a giant mural painting of an iconic scene from the MacPherson trial, and gift postcards. And plenty of tartan clad curtains and rustic wooden furniture, evocative of the history and culture of the era.

Our staff are also on hand to give you a big cheery Scottish welcome with as much, or as little, Doric as you like.

So feel free to pop in anytime we're open, we specialise in breakfasts but we also offer delicious home brewed tea and fresh ground coffees, plus an informative history lesson.
