When we first walked in we were given an upgrade, no asking just given and a very friendly welcome , Hotel is very clean and very well decorated, real fires in bar and reception and the food did not disappoint, excellent in every way ! Well recommended

Went to The Bull for Sunday lunch and to see the new refurbishments. The dining room looked great and the food was absolutely delicious! I booked in advance as I am vegan. No problem for the chef. The lunch was excellent. Will definitely be going again.

We stayed in room 103. Spacious, very clean and bed really comfy. Room overlooked the street and was worried we'd be disturbed by the market traders and traffic, but the double glazing was brilliant, didn't hear a thing!

Restaurant food was really tasty on the fri evening..... Would definitely recommend the hotel, great weekend break.

Very nice hotel. .I think that must have had a upgrade as the room I booked was a snug room but the room we got was large. .with a four poster bed in it. ..lunch was very good. .breakfast was excellent. ..staff very friendly

Today we had a spectacular party held in the ballroom. It was for my daughters christening celebration, 1st birthday AND Christmas party. We spoke with Alice a few months ago who started organising it straight away for us and what an amazing job you did! The worry, fear and panic that normally comes with organising an event like this wasn't there and it was all thanks to your calm organised manor. We can't thank you enough for the amazing work that you and your team did. Plus the buffet was AMAZING!!!

This is a wonderful, historic hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and clean and each is decorated differently. The staff are so welcoming, helpful and friendly. We ate at The Bull for both breakfast and dinner, and the food was excellent. I would highly recommend The Bull.

The whole atmosphere was good , room lovely and bed very comfortable . We also ate in the restaurant which was reasonably priced and served great food . Staff we’re all helpful and friendly .

As often in historic buildings, the rooms are not especially large; but mine was very well appointed - comfortable and characterful - and the breakfast was one of the nicest I've had in any hotel.

I’ve just returned from a single night stay at this hotel. The rooms were very clean and well maintained with a cool quirky look. The food was first class - the hanger steak was to die for and the cooked breakfast was equally satisfying. The staff were friendly and attentive and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. If I’m ever in Bridport again I will certainly return.

Have been into the Venner Bar now 3 times this year when camping in the area, all I can say is this place is worth a visit if you like cocktails or gin. Lloyd the young gentlemen who works behind the bar is so full of knowledge on gins, happy to recommend , knows what goes best with what and the garnish finishes are lovely especially the flower heads. They also have an amazing selection to choose from.



Even when the bar opens at 5pm there is a really pleasant atmosphere, pleasantly decorated, it is not overly large but there is a standing area at the bar if all the seating is full. You are able to reserve a seating area as well.

Stayed in the Snug room for one night, it's snug but bed is King size! Absolutely lovely room with all mod cons, Dyson Fan and Bluetooth alarm clock and speaker, fabulous shower and really lovely toiletries which you can buy from the reception.

The breakfast was great for a veggie breakfast, not the usual Quorn sausages!

Will definitely stay here again!

Amazing hotel. Reminds me of The Charlotte Street Hotel in London but with much bigger rooms. Staying for my parents 40th Wedding and the staff have already made a lovely celebration even more special with their thoughtfulness! Much appreciated. We just love this beautiful hotel and the most wonderful staff that have helped add that magic touch.

After 18 months of planning our daughter's wedding finally arrived on Saturday and following the service at st marys in South street guests strolled up to the Bull where we held the reception in the ballroom. We were given a fantastic meal and the party of a lifetime. Great meal, lamb cooked to perfection, served cheerfully and efficiently, the whole do went like clockwork, alice and her team did a fabulous job and nothing could have been improved on. With a fabulous choice of spaces to enjoy, courtyard and venner bar not to mention the main bar, there was truly something for everyone. The perfect wedding venue. Thankyou Alice! And tell the team they were fab. Xxxxxxx

Lovely hotel very quirky. Great family room with our son having his own room. We just found the service a bit slow in the restaurant this evening especially as our son was becoming restless and the staff didn't seem to notice.
