Only stopped by when out for a bike ride, friendly gent pointed us in the right direction. Much appreciated!
Had an excellent week here for a work trip.
9 of us stayed for a week of white water rafting. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are warm and the dry room was a nice added extra.
The communal areas in the "old bunk house" are excellent and really make for a good team building stay.
Julian the owner is very helpful, accomodating and friendly.
Great location for a gid party
we had booked this venue for a stag do, we had 9 people staying in total.
The bunkhouse itself is fantastic, great views, lots of space etc. however all this is let down by the owners.
within minutes of arriving he had threatened us by saying he "would let our tyres down" because one of our party was driving too quickly (apparently). we then received nothing but snidey remarks from both the owners for the next 2 days.
We also paid for a fire pit which we had endless complaints about from the owners because it was "too big"
The road itself getting up to the bunkhouse is pretty bad, anyone with a car that is remotely sporty should get someone else to drive as you'll be praying you don't have a blowout on some of the sharp stones.
overall the place is nice but is let down by its owners, Clearly a couple who are in the wrong profession as there idea of a stag is everyone sitting down quietly.
Had a great weekend here, the bunk house was surprisingly well kitted out with a big kitchen and living area.
Only down side was some slippy floors in the showers but other than that, couldn't fault it.
Good accommodation for a stag do but miles from the town so you need transport
