Came here a couple times when I was an exchange student at UoS. Staff was very friendly. Decent range of drinks to choose from. I do wish more desserts were offered because they're quite delicious. Worth stopping by the next time I make it to Scotland.

The Burgh Coffeehouse take pride in delivering an excellent cup of coffee just the way you prefer. This is Stirling's ONLY independent coffee house. Their quest to deliver excellent coffee, now includes their own coffee roasting facility. Two single origin house roasts are available from a selection that is expanding.

The customers come from coffee lovers from all age groups. There is a vibrant representation from Stirling University students, business professionals, lecturers and responsible senior school students. Small groups from clubs and societies occasionally meet here. Not to forget those of us who will always be young at heart and enjoy meeting new people and are open to new experiences.

For those who do not enjoy coffee and for the younger members of their clientele, there is a wide selection of teas available, as well as milk shakes and fruit smoothies. The Burgh Coffeehouse frequently receive and satisfy requests for hot water to warm a babies bottles.

THEY do Food too! To satisfy that need in all of us, there is a varied selection of aroma enticing delicious cakes and muffins, as well as flatbreads with different fillings and sandwiches that will be toasted upon request.

Staff are friendly helpful and are enthusiastic. Well educated they enjoy conversations with customers on a wide and varied selection of subjects, time permitting.

Wifi is free to customers and helpful mains sockets are available to recharge that mobile or laptop that is almost out of battery, provided an approved UK mains adapter is used. The WiFi router has recently been upgraded to support the most recent publically released WiFi rfc. and an additional router has been added to facilitate more connections. In the interests of fairness I request customers be considerate at busy times and restrict themselves to one device. If using a laptop disconnect your phone and vice versa.

Even above all else mentioned above, The Burgh Coffeehouse believe in inclusivity. Wheelchair access..YES. Wheelchair accessible tables YES. Wheelchair easily accessible toilet facilities- on the ground floor YES. Mother and baby changing facility YES.

Because The Burgh Coffeehouse is popular, it can become very busy. This means that all tables may be in use and therefore there may not be room for everyone. It is a first come first seated arrangement A reservation service is not available. Customers are friendly so why not share a table or a booth. Just set the Happy To Share sign.

But, best of all The Burgh Coffeehouse have seasonal variations to their menu. So look out for Halloween, Christmas, Valentines day, Easter and Summertime variations.

Please NOTE it may be busy on the ground floor but there is also seating downstairs so be sure to check before just looking in and moving on. Review 3017-10-12 19:10.

Further NOTE the Menu Boards change regularly so please come in and familiarise yourself with the boards when you are passing, even if not staying.

Great coffee shop with excellent espresso selection, I liked their desserts selection too. WiFi was a bit doggy but may it was just one of those days... 😉

User

A cosy and friendly coffee place to have a drink, a chat, or read a book. I had a latte and it tasted rather mild. The bakery items are average compared to many other small cafes around the area - typical fares one find at Starbucks than in a local Scottish cafe, and my fruit slice is too sweet.

User

Yes yes yes. Lots of space, cozy vibes, outlets to plug into. Coffee is v good. Nice staff.

User

Really fantastic coffee and cakes. Friendly staff. Free WiFi. Can't ask for more from a coffee house.

User

Hard to believe this place is almost opposite a Cafe Nero and there are people choosing to go in there, with a much better option here

User

Better than any other local coffee place in Stirling. Try it it's impressive.

User

Like a second home, but with much better coffee than I can make at home! Friendly and helpful staff, free and reliable wifi and plug points too!

User

Very cozy place with good hot drinks and prices; but the wifi didn't work with our devices and they wouldn't give us the student discount they advertise

User

Not expensive, reasonable WiFi, a comfortable place to while away an hour or two.

User

Friendly staff and great food but normally only get one plate (wooden slab) per table

User

Come here alot. Open till 8 so able to take advantage of free parking after half 5 not far away.
Coffees always good a large range of teas.
Staff are very friendly and nice.
Relaxed place with a range of students travellers families.
Looks small but downstairs alot of extra seating.

Forgot to mention power sockets placed up high...great for charging.

User

Pleasant atmosphere and staff, coffee and hot chocolate were nice. Too bad the shortbread in the caramel slice we got was a bit burnt and more like short crust pastry.
