Dust off your glad rags and fancy frocks it's that time of year!
After an amazing inaugural ball last year, it's back again! The Unions 2nd Annual Societies Ball celebrating our 81 incredible societies and everything they do to make Heriot-Watt University Student Union so fantastic will be taking place at the Edinburgh Grosvenor Hotel on the 20th of November (19:30-00:00). (We'll also be raising money for a really worthwhile cause, so you have no excuse not to come!)

Mental Health, over the years have been talked about more and more in conferences and company reviews. This Thursday, Aoife Clarke, VP Wellbeing for Heriot-Watt University Student Union, is hosting the first ever Mental Health Conference at Heriot-Watt! Heriot-Watt Business Management Society will be supporting this event and hope to see you there!
This October, Heriot-Watt University Student Union are launching our boldest Charity Challenge ever. @HWUNION are giving any student, or group of up to 5 students, a ┬Ż10 note. No strings attached. You then have the whole month of October to use your business brains and turn this into as much money as you can for your chosen charity. Easy. All you have to do is keep a simple log of how you spend and make money, and keep a photo or video diary on your project.
Any time you put into the project will be recognised on your academic transcript, along with all of the employability skills you learn or show along the way. Oh, and did we mention the ┬Ż500 cash prizes up for grabs? ┬Ż250 will go to the student or team that raise the most, and ┬Ż250 will go to the most innovative project.
