What a treat to arrive late on a dark November night to the cosiest little cabin. Even better, waking up in the morning to a wonderful view of the loch. The locals in the cafe were so friendly, advising on the best walks and geral information about the area and its history. A must, is the walk up past the falls of Avich, on up the river Avich to Loch Avich. From there, you can climb upwards and circle back down to spend an evening in front of a log fire, Next day, back at the cafe, someone had gone to the trouble of finding me a map for other walks. Cant wait to go back - they tell me Hogmany is great fun.

User

We stayed at osprey, loch awe at the end of nov 16, we had a great time, snow on the mountains all around, one of the highlights was watching the stars through the big window with the log fire on (they were so clear due to the location!) all the locals were so friendly and the service was great!from here we had a day in oban which is not too far and has loads to offer and we had a day at glencoe/glenfinnan, cant wait to go back!we have a baby and found it child friendly but it really is great for any age group ’┐Į

We spent a wonderful 10 days here on a big family holiday. The cabins them selves are warm, welcoming and so cosy . The view from osprey was breath taking. There is a wonderful expance of grass for children to play and feel free while you watch from the veranda. There are wonderful woodland walks and stunning loch Awe a stone's throw away and you can even explore avich falls which are magical. A great community centre/ restaurant serving lovely food with staff that make you feel your one of the locals and a shop come post office for supplys and amazing home made cakes!

The cabin was so well equiped with everything we needed and helpfully Tesco deliver to the cabins so it doesn't matter it's a bit of a drive to a supermarket. It all adds up to making a perfect place for either a fun, action packet family holiday like ours or a place to find piece quiet and views to soothe the sole. I would recommend to anyone.

User

We have just returned today from a fantastic 2 night stay at the cabin. The cabin is first class with everything you or your family need. Located right on the banks of Loch Awe with picturesque views. Could not recommend this more for a short break or weekend. Thanks again Gary and Fiona

User

We booked the seil cabin for 4 adults and had a truly amazing 5 day break. The cabin was spotless, hot tub ready for a well earned soak!! Irene and I think it was her son were fabulous. I had forgotten to bring my important medication and Irene allowed us to have it posted to her house, and then it was kindly brought down to the cabin. I see people leaving poor reviews and canŌĆÖt understand why? Yes itŌĆÖs remote (as advertised) but is that not what you expect at a log cabin? Peace and quiet. I will definitely go back. I would like to get one with two double beds that is my only gripe. My young puppy had a great time also. We look forward to visiting again.

The only fault was a long weekend isn't long enough. Osprey Cabin is absolutely fantastic, so well equipped and 5 star luxury. The views over the Loch are stunning and the walks in the surrounding woodland bring you face to face with nature. Asking the local shopkeeper/Post mistress if the shop stocked newspapers she replied "we make our own news here and it's all good" what a lovely thing to say, it still makes me smile. I loved it I'm going back.

Spent last weekend at Osprey was so, so, good, will definitely be back. Cabin is really well equipped, very clean, and very comfortable. Weather was great when we were there, so lots of lovely walking too. Only thing we didn't like was leaving!

Myself, partner and our children aged 14, 11, 9 & 4 enjoyed 3 nights here at the start of October. The log cabin itself is absolutely wonderful. The furnishings really made it feel like a home from home. There is nothing I can suggest to improve as it really is perfect. We had so much fun playing games in the evenings while the wood burner was on in the sitting room and during the day we had trips into oban and boat rides on the loch to the island and Castle. We will 100% be returning. Hopefully next time in the summer months to make use of the bbq ’┐Į’┐Į the owners really have went above and beyond.

User

Just returned from the Osprey yesterday on our second holiday up to Loch Awe. The lodge has everything you need and was beautifully presented. We've had rain most days but who cares when you can get the log burner going and enjoy a G&T with the gorgeous views from the cosy lounge. Try the village shop for home made cakes, take a walk through the woods to a secluded beach and drive carefully as you'll be sharing the winding roads with deer and highland cattle. Well done Andrew and Rachel for offering a 5 star lodge experience in this amazing part of Scotland.

User

Just home from a brilliant few days in Oak Log Cabin. The cabin was excellent, had everything you need for your stay. Beds were so comfortable, we all slept so well even those in the bunk beds! The log burning hot tub was the perfect way to chill out at night. It's the ideal place to take a break from busy normality and just relax.

The area itself is stunning. Tiny secluded village with a tiny bit wonderful shop/cafe open during the days, a social club open Thursday - Saturday evenings and very friendly locals to have a chat to.

Everyone in our group from 2yrs old to those in their 60's and the dog, all throughly enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be back!

User

Just had a wonderful week in Oak cabin, which is cosy, very well equipped and comfortable. The forest park offers walks and boat hire and the local community is very friendly and welcoming. There's a small shop in the village just a few minutes walk from the cabin that includes a post office some days and a cafe with delicious bakes! The community centre has a bar and grill serving great evening meals most days in the season. This is a brilliant place for all ages to enjoy the natural world and a slow pace of life.

I really should of done this sooner so apologies!!

We stayed here in Jan this year and it was just wonderful. We took friends from London with us and they were just in awe of this place as were we. From the winding road to the cabin, the stunning wildlife of stags, highlands cows and wild birds to the quaint, cosy very well appointed cabin with lovely views over to the loch. Andrew and Rachel have catered for your every need with all the appliances and gadgets you could ask for, wifi, aircon (which we didn't need for sure in Jan), little heaters dotted around the cabin and cosy throws to snuggle up in, they really have thought of everything. The site itself is great, The Rowan cafe makes THE most amazing breakfasts and the social club does fabulous pub like evening meals, we were treated to warm welcomes from all the staff in each facility, they couldn't do enough for you, loved a wee chat and were very helpful and pleasant. The area itself is very peaceful, green and woody and we enjoyed several little strolls around about and down to the loch itself, meeting many dog walkers on route, everyone was very pleasant and up for a little chat on passing. Approx 30mins back down the road is a fantastic, beautifully and tastefully decorated restaurant called Kilchrenan Inn, a real little find in the middle of nowhere, the menus are based on locally sourced foods available that day so the menu is always fresh and a little adventurous. I would definitely recommend a visit to this restaurant, we all enjoyed each and every bit of every course, really yummy.

Definitely suggest you book a little stay here at The Osprey Log Cabin, the staff who take care of the place are very obliging, the locals are super friendly and Rachel and Andrew will do everything they can to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Get Booking!!

I don't really want to leave a rating on this stunning place as I want to keep it all to myself! But I will... well, what can I say, amazing, amazing, amazing... from the moment you drive through what feels like an isolated wilderness with wildlife and the most beautiful Autumn tones.. your just so relaxed. The log cabin is beautifully furnished, warm, homely and the views are spectacular. Its fully furnished with everything you will need. The beds are so comfy, I don't ever remember sleeping so well... the site just fits beautifully in a small village called Dalavich, where the locals make you feel very welcome and part of their community. Our 11 year old and 9 year old loved it, there are walks and places to visit right on your door step. I cannot wait to return!

User

Best place in the world ’┐Į! Irene makes you feel welcome and she keeps the cabins spotless. Dalavich is a wonderful place and I would give the cabins a 10 star if I could ’┐Į. Can't wait to go back ’┐Į
