I do not have permission to share this and may get into trouble but it’s too funny not too! This is what our Courtyard by Marriott Glasgow Airport lot get up to while trying to record a promotional video!

Come to Scotland and have a go or just have a wee look at kilted yoga! I’m not sure this would help me relax but it’s all for the culture!

We had a fantastic week last week celebrating service. A full week of appreciating the work we do for our wonderful guests. This culminated in a team lunch with games and a competition of ‘draw your colleagues!’ Some of them are hilarious. First prize went to Elsie for her depiction of our Graeme, winning a luxury night stay for 2 in the doubletree Hilton in Queensferry and 2nd prize to Graeme himself for his accurate drawing of Helen our assistant manager.

Another beautiful day across Scotland. Please keep all gingers inside and make sure you’ve got your anti-glare glasses on from all the milk bottles that will be on show!

Spare a thought for your hard working staff at the hotel, they may never get summer holidays!!

A little friend found this poor wee bird on the pavement outside, I don't hold much hope for him, he's got a wing injury and I think its a baby blue tit that's fallen out of his nest but the SSPCA are on their way anyway and he's comfy in an old box. I've not donated to them in a while but they are a worth while charity especially for our wildlife.

We’ve got some great chippies around us almost as good as Anster if you know where to look!! Happy fish and chips day!!! #couldmurderasmokedsausagesuper

We may be biased!

We recently recieved an email from a future guest stating that they had booked into the 'Beachfront Bungalow Room' in June. This prompted one of the receptionists to design what that room would look like. A lean to on Costa del Leith may be the best we could stretch to but sadly it may be a while before we can offer a beachfront bungalow, it did make us chuckle tho!

Happy International Nurses Day!! We all know a special nurse who goes above and beyond, who has been verbally and physically abused at their place of work but carry on regardless. Who will risk life and limb for someone in their care and be there for them when no one else will. We appreciate our NHS nurses, we hope we never need you but when a day comes that we might we know you will be right there!! Thank You!

Our amigos over in Glasgow have come up with a great way to fill some time while waiting for a flight/finish off some work or even just do some of that all important life admin while you are away. Check out this deal that includes bottomless Starbucks, free fast wifi and a quiet area to spread out. All with parking included for just £10.95 per person. Bargain when you think about how much these airlines charge you for not printing your boarding pass prior to arrival. All welcome. They are awfy clever over in the West you know!!

Look at this dirty stop out!! Months of worrying about Mary and she shows up! We are so relieved but we gave her a telling off followed by some cuddles!!

Look at all these beautiful faces that we have recognised as being extra helpful, going beyond our expectations and being superb at what they do. Maintenance, breakfast crew, housekeeping and reception all receiving vouchers to acknowledge that we appreciate everything they do for the hotel. Big congratulations to Bea and Nacho for winning star of the month and Rafael winning the golden ticket.

Stayed here on the 31/1/2017

What a great hotel, staff very very professional and the place was really clean, we arrived we were early so they let us leave our bags for the day, when we checked in we were upgraded to a wonderful 3 bed apartment just located over the road, the apartment was spotless and beautifully decorated, lovely little touches of hot chocolates and a hamper with crisps , sweets, biscuits and water, the bed was very comfortable, nice big flat screen TV to watch some TV, I bet you can't find that kind of place in the center of town for that price, already planning to go back and also told all our family and friends about it, thank you again for a wonderful night away x

User

Stayed for 5 nights last week. Excellent Hotel. Very polite staff and the rooms are nicely decorated and the family room that we occupied was large.

Nice roaring fire in reception every morning which stayed on all day keeping the place warm too.

Great location as it is a very quiet street - but you walk around the corner and you have lots of restaurants and a theatre - and the shops on Princess Street are only a 10 minute walk away!

User

Perfect place to stay in Edinburgh. A good walk from the city center. Nice and quiet.

User

Our stay at the Cairn hotel has been one of the best. The rooms are spacious and modern. The bed is so comfortable and perfect for sleeping after touring the city. The hotel is well situated to see the sights and close to Waverly station. The staff are helpful and friendly and go the extra mile to be sure you have a fantastic stay. I highly recommend the breakfast! I will be staying at the Cairn Hotel for all future visits to Edinburgh.

User

Lovely service. Nice apartments, in walking distance of everything which was nice based on all the roadwork they had going on last weekend.

User

Just home from two nights at The Cairn Hotel in Edinburgh where seriously the staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. Would defo stay here again. Thankyou and hope the staff get amply rewarded xx

User

Great hotel. Great location and great cleaning. We stay for three nights and we've a very great experience. We're so gratefull with the concierge Joaquín Cordero Jaen who helps in everything we need during our stay. Very professional. Thank you and be shure that we will return to this hotel in our next trip to edinburgh.

User

Brilliant venue for my hen weekend. The barmaid was lovely, even loaned us a couple tutus after a wardrobe crisis, and it was quiet enough, we got a great sleep in comfy beds and separate enough where we could have fun too and not worry about disturbing neighbours. Our only gripe was our apartment didn't have enough mugs for morning coffee (only 3 for 7 ladies) and no glasses for wine or any bevvies but really not an issue considering our fab stay!

User

Arrived for one night 28/11 upon arrival staff were really friendly checked in and they said we were over the road i started getting a bit worried thinking maybe that's why it was such a good price, how wrong was I room was so nice so up-to-date gorgeous bathroom and the bed was so comfortable I went for lie down before going back out on night time and didn't want to get out the bed! Not to mention the lil hamper of crisps chocolate biscuits and water location is perfect as well. really really recommend if I was to come back I would defo book here!

User

We have stayed here for the last 5 days. We had 2 families in the home. We loved the spacious rooms with so many beds to choose from. The showers aren’t very good (constantly hot and cold, and no one can use water while you are showering). There is a little bit of road noise depending which bedroom you are in but nothing too bad. There is a massive lack of glasses considering it accommodates for so many guests. We had 2 glasses plus we had to ask for wine glasses and a tea towel.

The place is warm and comfortable though and a fantastic central location. We would definitely stay again!

User

Very nice hotel good location our room just managed to fit double bed apart from that very clean. Staying again to night only fault I would say nice complementary basket in the room but not filled up for second night first hotel I've stayed in that has not refilled

User

Stayed here for three nights . Room was very spacious and reception staff couldn't have been more helpful. However we got back late one night to find housekeeping hadn't been in that day. The last night there was no hot water so after a cold shower and a call to reception someone did something with the boiler but was another 15-20 mins before water was hot. By this time it was too late to shower.

User

Stayed at the hotel for two nights n the stay was good one.The staff was very good n helpful too. We didn't have to wait for long for our rooms even though we had come before check in time.Since the hotel is close to all major attraction in the city it was convenient for us to move around.

User

User

Great wee hotel in the theatre district . Very reasonably priced, clean and stylish rooms. Had a twin room with a friend and it was very spacious and comfortable. Lovely welcome basket stocked with tea, coffee, hot choc, water, choc cake, custard creams and crisps! Really nice little extras that make all the difference. Free toiletries and towels too. Room had 2 hair dryers, iron and board. Great not to have to trail to reception to request these things. Friendly staff, beautiful real flame coal effect fire place in bar. Handy to have board games and books etc too. Bar was handy to have a drink upon returning from a comedy show last night. Bag storage for £1. Bargain! Also was informed that if I book again I'll get 10% off my next stay. Great! The only reason I didn't give 4 stars is I felt the breakfast could have a few improvements. Such as keeping hot food hotter and fresher. Eggs were a little rubbery and waffles were cold and hard. A few more options for the cooked breakfast would be good too. Only items available were scrambled egg, lorna sausage, bacon and beans. No black pudding, haggis or mushrooms/tomato etc. We were down for breakfast at 9.10am and there were a lot of empty plates, not much to choose from. So perhaps just make sure all options are available until breakfast stops at 9.30am. Certainly not something that would stop me returning. Had a fab stay and slept well. Shower pressure not the best and didn't get as hot as I'd like but it wasn't awful. Very nice bathroom. All in all a nice hotel for the money and I will definitely be returning. Thank you for a lovely stay

User

Great location. Very comfortable room and perfect size for 3 people. good value for money. Only complaint was two long hairs in the bath which were definitely not ours ! On the whole though will definitely return x

User

Stayed here for four nights. My room was very small not worth the price as there were small doubles bigger than mine. Bed was comphy and WiFi good and hotel it self is in a good location. Shower wasn't very hot, fortunately as was hot weather. Had it been winter and no hot water I'd have kicked off. Didn't have breakfast as it cost extra which tbh for the price of room breakfast should be included. Check out should be 12 not 11. Staff were OK. Hamper in room was ok but cheap crisps. Photos on websites show walkers and proper chocolate. But product was cheap tasteless. Anyway slept well in a very cosy bed and was close to lots of good sites.

We were due to stay at this hotel for 4 nights from Thursday 1st of March until Monday 5th March but due to the extreme weather conditions in Ireland, all flights from Dublin airport to Edinburgh were cancelled for several days which meant we were unable to leave the country at all. We contacted the hotel about our situation to which we found no sympathy. We were basically told 'tough luck'. We had booked the trip in January and paid for the room in full at that time, to our misfortune. We thought that they would refund us or at least offer us partial credit as not to be left completely out of pocket for something which was completely outside our control. Yet again we were told tough luck and that there was nothing they would do for us, which left a very bad taste in our mouths and ~€300 out of pocket. I will forever avoid this hotel at all costs and recommend friends and family alike not to stay here should they decide to travel to Edinburgh.

User

We had 3 double rooms booked as we were going to a friends wedding. We all paid the same for our rooms but each one varied in size massively. When we got to our room we were shocked to see how small it was. Getting in and out of the double bed (two singles pushed together) had to be done from the bottom of the bed as there was no room either side of the bed.

Getting ready for the wedding in this room was a challenge as there was barely room to swing a cat and this resulted in us both getting hot n bothered which didn’t make for the calm relaxing experience I had imagined.

On Easter Monday which we thought would be the same service as weekend we went down for breakfast at 9.30 and was told (quite bluntly) it was finished and couldn’t even have toast or coffee.

I wouldn’t recommend here.... it was quite expensive for what we got. I’ve paid less to stay in a Hilton
