don't normally do reviews, but first time going to a show in classic grand. cool venue and impressive sound. main purpose of this post is to commend the two members of security who worked the napalm death show. relaxed yet professional and handled everything that came over very well without being c*nts. props!

Impressed with the service at the bar, security checks at the door & the staff here, had an absolutely amazing night one of the best nights I’ve ever had � thanks so much! X

My niece got married here yesterday and it was amazing from start to finish. The venue is great, looked gorgeous with fairy lights everywhere and each one of the staff couldn't be more helpful or friendly, fab!

My daughter and her new husband had their wedding here, from start to finish, yesterday. I cannot compliment Gary, Pauline, Heather and all the staff enough, they did a spectacular job. This was their first wedding event and they went all out to make it special for everybody. I'm sure the regulars wouldn't have recognised the place lol. Thanks again to All involved yesterday for making, not only Lorraine & Martins day special, but everybody who came.

Amazing place, Excellent staff always friendly and cheerful..... Definitely recommend the Classic Grand to anyone who wants a bite to eat and a few drinks etc xxx

My daughter had her 18th birthday party in the Classic Grand and it was a great night, from the lay out of the hall, the decorations to the lighting and other personal touches it was amazing, All the bar / security staff help make it a night to remember they were brilliant , we could not have asked for a better night



Would I recommend The Classic Grand "Yes" 100%

Was in other night with 12 year old daughter for ryan lawrie even though it wasn't too busy bar staff were still going round handing out cups of water, guessing older kids would have been there without a parent so thought this was really good thing to do.

A good sized club with a nice layout. The sound was good for the live acts. I've been to some places and you just get an intelligible wall of noise, but Classic Grand has a well balanced sound system and I could actually enjoy the bands I hadn't heard before.

In a roasting hot club with hundreds of people. It would be great to get a lovely cold drink... Well you would think so? No! Warm cans Yuk!

Great venue good music (NOVELLA) but £4 for 1 tin of Budweiser is a bit steep

Attended the Five & 911 concert on Friday. It was my first time at the Classic Grand and my experience was mediocre.



The venue itself was ok. I have a few gripes

- No toilet roll in the ladies (this was before the concert started). Toilet roll appeared fter the concert

- Does not accept card, not sure if this was to make us feel 'back in the day'

- Overcrowding, it felt like the tickets were oversold. There was next to no space to move. At one point at the end of the concert no-one was able to move. I was just thankful there wasn't a fire.



With that in mind I had a good night. Venue is pretty cool looking. I would go back to the CG but would not be my first choice.

A tad unorganised as web site stated the show started at 5-30, waited outside for 2 hours before getting in, mixed crowd ranging from 5 to 28-20 maybe. Lots of mums etc there as most kids were under age. Total rip off with cans of diet cola £1-80. Band very good and well supported.

The staff were all fantastic and very helpful. Although my friend had called before we got tickets for the event apart from being told there was no lift when enquiring about disabled access she was misinformed about the floor the event was taking place on. She was told the first when in fact apart from the meet and greet it was on the third floor.

I definitely won't recommend the Classic Grand to anyone with disabilities.

It was like a tin sardines in the main room literally ud be killed if a fire broke out .If the police seen it for themselves itd get shut down and only had a very miserable choice of 4 drinks at the bar The toilets were candidates for the worst in scotland Trainspotting comes to mind wooft Never going again.

I usually like this venue but at last nights back in the day gig they definitely sold more than capacity of tickets. It was claustrophobic and people were standing in front of every exit and on the stairways which is health and safety.

Was in last night for i am a raver started off great waited 10 min max to get in no problem when we got in place was jumpin up stairs and down stairs all good got served at the bar for first drink pretty quick then after that went to the bar again to wait and wait and wait and wait so decided to try the other bar and that was the same both bars 3 to 5 deep to get a drink counted only 3 staff behind each bar really not enough people want to spend there money and yous don't have the staff to deal with it even put up your prices if that means you can get more staff behind the bar ended up leaving to go some where else but top music and entertainment just a pitty couldn't get a drink to enjoy it with

Tried to book an event, got ghosted. Shame when other staff had been friendly and helpful until that point.

Seems to be that overcrowding is a massive issue for this venue. Was refused entry on the grounds that the event was oversold. Do not buy tickets in advance if it is held in this venue because it will be a massive waste of money. Unhelpful, rude and a total waste of what could have been an amazing night �

Safe to say that the way u handled being over capacity was poorly dealt with last nite. Telling every1 in the queue the had too much to drink so they didnt have to let folk in is a joke. I am 31 years of age and never had the humiliation of being regected at a club door. After being regected we hung around waiting on friends an witnessed with own eyes the whole queue behind us being told exact same thing. However it was the police whom then explained to us your very inpleasant door man had let too many people in. Was really looking forward go this event aswell. You should be refunding every1 whom bought a ticket and experienced the same thing. �
