The Co-Operative Bank (Permanently Closed)

10 people in the queue, and they are closing the only branch in Edinburgh. Now they tell me they can't take US cheques, what a useless bank!

Initially poor customer service from a member of staff with continual mistakes made (by the bank) in an attempt to open a routine new account application and a huge reluctance / lack of effort to rectify the issues (of their making). However, with intervention from online (twitter) customer service, they turned it around.

You are the only Cooperative bank in Edinburgh, and yet you are open only Monday to Friday 9-5. I don't expect 8-8 everyday, but can you not at least open one late night and a Saturday morning? It's really bad

Good bank, especially staff. Though the timings are absolutely terrible! Monday to Friday 9:30AM to 5PM...what am I meant to do about the fact that I work outside the city centre? Have to take the morning or afternoon off work just to deposit a cheque...they need better opening hours or an innovative work to do all work digitally! Mostly you can do things online or by the phone, but things like depositing a cheque is a chore...
