Unlike a lot of these reviews, I can't claim to have had my Wedding dress designed and made by Kim, but I can certainly vouch for her ability to make a dress fit properly!



My dress was an unconventional purchase from a London retailer, and was never designed to be a Wedding dress, yet it suited my needs for our big day. Unfortunately when it arrived I discovered - as with most off-the-peg options - it didn't quite fit as well as it should. So, I popped in to see Kim and her staff in hope that they might be able to fix it. The fabric was thick, and I'm sure a little bit of a nightmare, but was altered perfectly and back with me within two weeks.



Needless to say, it held up on the day - both figuratively and literally! Absolutely stunning job, superb service, and I'll certainly be back in future for more!

So glad I wandered into the Dressmaker one day, I fell in love instantly with a beautiful dress on the model, surf boards and vintage travellers I just had to have it, Kim and her staff made sure it fitted and at no extra cost altered it to fit perfectly, I also spotted a sewing machine design on a full circle skirt again nothing was too much trouble to alter to fit perfectly - both outfits were for a vintage cycling festival Eroica Britannia and received many compliments so I can't recommend Kim The Dressmaker highly enough and will be back soon for more

Kim worked tirelessly with me to create my dream dress, a dress I could have only ever wished for. Visiting the Dressmaker frequently for fittings, right from the planning stages up until the last week before the wedding made for a really fun and unique lead up to our big day , resulting in an extremely special and unique dress. Kim made our bridesmaids, flower girl dress and even bows for my shoes!the whole experience was all I could have ever asked for and more. Thank you lots Kim X

Kim is Such a talented lady with a lovely friendly team around her also.. I came to Kim with 2 different pictures of wedding dresses I liked and I asked her to do some sort of hybrid of the two... she did just that and it was perfect exactly what i wanted! Kim also made our bridesmaid dresses, flower girl dress and bow ties for bestmen, ushers, groom and a matching mini bow tie for our 4yr! I loved everyone's outfits so much. Couldn't recommend Kim enough.

Kim did alterations to my sisters wedding dress and made our mum’s outfit - she did an amazing job on both and I can’t recommend her highly enough!

If you want that something special but you can’t find it in the shops Kim will make it for you xx

I was recommended by a friend because i could not find a wedding dress that fitted. Kim was fantastic nothing was to much trouble. I knew what i wanted but had been unable to find anything near what I wanted. it was no trouble for Kim and it was short notice for a made to measure wedding dress first met Kim the week before Christmas and she made the wedding dress and jacket for my wedding on the 4th. march. it was everything and more than i could have hoped for. and at a very reasonable price. would 100% recommend Kim

I was fairly nervous trusting someone to make me a dress for my sons wedding in America. i was also worried if the dress would suit my shape in fact i actually had no idea what sort of dress i wanted ( a bit of a nightmare client really haha)

I have to tell you that i had the best service, very patient and knowledgeable, Kim understood my shape and helped me come up with the perfect design and colour. I was so thrilled with the dress and the friendly service i received, i would not hesitate in recommending the dressmaker to all my friends and family .... just wish i lived nearer as i traveled 180 mile round trip for each fitting... she was that worth it!!!! Thank you so much

I got married last weekend, and had the pleasure of having Kim and her team creating the most beautiful wedding dress!

What an amazing experience, from first communication, through to wearing the most beautiful dress on my wedding day.

Kim is so patient, and kind and just lovely. She dealt with my lack of decision-making with great patience and skill, and helped me along the way.

The dress was absolutely beautiful and unlike any other and the attention to detail and care Kim and her team showed was brilliant.

She also helped alter my late mum's veil, and dealt with it with such care, which I was incredibly touched by.

I got married last Friday 23/03/2018 and has my dress my 5 bridesmaids and 2 best persons dresses made by Kim. Wow, what a wonderful experience for my girls and me. We loved every fitting, and for everyone to have input in the designs made it especially special. Above all my dress was amazing, I felt wonderful in it and my guests made lovely comments. I will be rerurning to have a dress made for my sisters wedding later in the year. Thanks again Phillipa and girls.

I got married a week ago and was lucky enough to have Kim and her team design and make my perfect dress. I can not praise and thank them enough! We did have a giggle doing it as well! We got married abroad and had so many comments about the dress both there, and upon our return. I even got a round of applause from other guests of the hotel! I absolutely love my dress.... if only I could wear it every day! Thanks Kim! X

I got married a couple of weeks ago and decided to have my 2 adult and 2 child bridesmaids dresses made by Kim. The experience was just fantastic, and I have been raving about you to anyone that will listen.

Nothing was too much trouble, indulging the 2 little ones with their dream dresses and seeing the joy it gave them. Making sure the 2 adults were happy and confident in their dresses.

On the day all the dresses looked beyond amazing, so many compliments!

You also fitted my pre bought dress at such an incredibly reasonable price, again with no hassle, no fuss just a few pins and 'it'll be ready in a couple of days'

I cannot recommend the Dressmaker enough, my friend suggested visiting them when I was looking for my wedding dress and it was the best decision I made. I had a beautiful hand made dress that I loved and they made the fittings so easy, nothing was too much trouble for them at all. I have just had another dress made as a guest at a wedding and my mother in law has had a mother of the bride outfit. My mother in law couldn't have been happier with her outfit and said she felt like the queen. It was wonderful to see her looking so confident and receiving so many compliments. Fantastic shop. Dresses and skirts are far more interesting than those in high street shops, they fit properly, are totally unique, and don't cost the earth! I was pleasantly surprised to find such good service at affordable prices � I was even more pleasantly surprised to find that they could adjust a dress to fit me in time for my wedding when I came in at the very very last minute! Thank you �

Collected my full skirted dance dress today and can only say that it is absolutely gorgeous. Fits like a glove and the service has been amazing. Kim and her team have an amazing work ethic and you are made to feel important throughout the design and fitting process so you are never "railroaded " ensuring that the finished item meets and exceeds your expectations.

After having a hard time getting my dress altered at a bridal store i took it upon myself to take the dress out of the shop and try to find myself another seamstress a week before my wedding! Thank God I found Kim! She squeezed me in the week before my wedding and altered my wedding dress perfectly! A very lovely lady who gets the job done I can't recommend her services enough. Thank you so much Kim!
