JOIN OUR TEAM! We are on the search for a new member of bar staff. Previous experience is not necessary as full training will be given but the ideal candidate will be someone who has an interest in learning the workings of a bar (pouring drinks, making cocktails, cellar maintenance) and is willing to work hard. This is a physically demanding job and will involve many evenings and weekends but it can be a lot of fun and provide useful skills. Please email your cv to driftinnjobs@gmail.com or hand it in at the bar to Amy or Euan.

We had my son's 21st birthday meal at the Drift last week. Exceptional service, roaring fire and a great atmosphere. Highly recommend it. Thank you so much for a lovely evening.

User

We had a brilliant meal on Saturday night. The Drift Inn was very busy but as usual super efficient and got a table quickly which was great with the kids. House Sauvignon Blanc is tremendous and all meals were excellent. Service was so friendly and helpful just a wonderful relaxing experience. Looking forward to returning next sailing season.

Professionally run with attentive and friendly staff. A wife choice of beers, spirits and cocktails available as well as an extensive menu.

The garden at the front offers plenty of comfortable seating with great views.

With the current good weather well worth a visit.

Lovely food with a nice relaxed atmosphere along with stunning views and friendly staff...what's not to like.

User

I have been to the Drift Inn every time I have been on Arran. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the food is excellent. Alison and I watched the rugby world cup final and Andy Murray's latest Wimbledon victory in the Drift Inn and on both occasions the atmosphere was terrific. I would recommend a visit.

User

Have been coming here for around 3 years - always amazing food and friendly service. They have set the bar very high as regards menu, choice and quality of lively locally sourced food. So glad they have reopened after closing last year.

The best place to eat on Arran IMO

User

Had been recommended to visit here by my boaty dad who visits a lot (for the 35 types of gin I'm sure!) loved it! Great food, great atmosphere, lovely staff, excellent wine and a truly stunning view of Holy Isle. Will definitely come back when next in Arran and I very much recommend a visit.

Family friendly and welcoming with a smile, oh and a great selection of Ales and outstanding local produce! A must if visiting Arran

User

Fab food, friendly staff, excellent selection of drinks with a grand selection of drams. Relaxed atmosphere with large beer garden. Then there is the view what else can I say but get over to God's Island and pay them a visit you wont be disappointed.

User

Great food and atmosphere views of the holy isle were stunning....in between the blizzards!!!ļæ½ļæ½ļæ½ļæ½

Food was excellent but the staff were grumpy, The "Christopher Dean" look-a-like was unhappy to have a photo taken and the man behind the bar was made us feel most unwanted.... Great Food though.

First visit for an impromptu drink and food in the sun was perfect, 10 of us including children, welcoming, great food and amazing g&t. No issue at all about serving that size group arriving unannounced. Popped back a few days later for a drink, asked about booking for food the following night and was told that they donā€™t take bookings, that it was first come first served, fine. This evening we arrived at around 5.15, the garden didnā€™t have any tables but there were plenty of available tables inside. When I asked if we could sit and eat I was told in an unfriendly manner that there was no availability. I pointed out that there were a lot of empty tables and even if they couldnā€™t seat 10 of us together then weā€™d happily spilt up. The reaction was really really disappointing, the guy was adamant that we couldnā€™t stay, that they couldnā€™t accommodate us yet offered no reason, almost seemed angry and irritated when I suggested the option of us splitting up over several tables. I reminded him that Iā€™d asked about it the day before, and that weā€™d all eaten there earlier in the week so I didnā€™t really understand the problem now. The guy actually took a deep breath and said ā€˜noā€™ in a way that suggested he was really quite annoyed by the whole prospect. Massive shame as we were all looking forward to another great meal here, ridiculous business sense as they lost out on a decent taking for 10 meals and plenty of drinks. Had there been a reason given for being unable to accommodate us then maybe it would be more understandable yet it wasnā€™t even up for discussion, no inclination to even want to try and accommodate us despite plenty of tables and room. Very disappointing and no way weā€™d want to spend money there in the future which is the opposite to how we all felt about this place initially.
