We usually stay in higher end chain hotels. The Earl of Derby was nothing fancy by any means but I loved staying here. Wonderful staff, wonderful food and drinks, and in the room the things that matter were spot on. Thank you to the staff, you have all been so helpful and friendly.

We stayed at the Earl of Derby Inn between the 18th and 21st of September 2015. We left home in Australia on the 31st of August and have been travelling since. We loved Belgium, but up to now the Earl of Derby has been the best place to stay. Ray and his staff can't do enough to help you. The food is good tasting and plentiful. The atmosphere is friendly. The accommodation was a very pleasant surprise after 10 days in London. I can't recommend the place high enough. If your going to Cambridge, this is the place to stay

Super nice and friendly staff, big rooms with handy amenities. The pub is gorgeous and food and drinks are delicious! Also be sure to try their Staropramen, it Czechs out! ’┐Į

Popped in tonight for a meal, and it was pure heaven. The best burger and chips I've had since arriving in England 4.5 years ago. Tasty burgers, perfect chips and fresh burger baps, great value meal.

Super friendly staff, speedy service and only too happy to accommodate our needs with a small baby in our group.

Without a doubt I will return when I'm next in the area.

Popped in here last night with my daughter and partner on a flying visit to Cambridge to drop my girl back to uni. Lovely place, nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Would def return when back in Cambridge ’┐Į

My very first local when I moved to Cambridge in the 80's.

Many brilliant times. Not been in for ages. Popped in this morning for a full English.

Highly recommended.

I'll be going back more often, and hope to get the old gang back for a trip down memory lane.

My husband and I have been coming here for the past 3 years, very friendly and helpful staff. The food is fantastic, the rooms are very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended!!!

Just moved out offices to station square and looking to revive our traditional first friday of the month breakfast. The earl of derby was the obvious choice and it didn't disappoint. 8 people fed with full English breakfast inside30 minutes, all cooked to order piping hot with self serve tea and coffee all for 5.76 a head. A new tradition is born.

Great old school pub. The beer was exceptionally well kept and the food was marvellous with decent sized portions.

Good honest boozer. Good selection of draught beers. Wholesome, hearty food. Great place to watch rugby and football.

Haven't tried the accommodation, but it's always busy.

Food is good and full of flavor unlike some of the bland breakfasts you get. We did get some funny looks, arriving on motorbikes dressed as Santa

Excellent place - the goulash is particularly good.

Efficient service. Always good for a cooked brekkie or an all-day brunch! Varied menu.

Accommodation very clean, beds super comfy. The breakfast was delicious & the service was first class, couldnŌĆÖt ask for more. Definitely stay again! ’┐Į

A regular spot to have a top breakfast when blasting out on the bikes ’┐Į

We received a warm welcome, staff were friendly and efficient. The bedroom & bathroom was lovely & clean, beds were very comfortable. The full english breakfast we had on both days was fantastic & the service was great!! Overall great value for money & would definitely stay again ’┐Į
