Unique location for afternoon tea, great selection of sweet and savories. Portions sizes perfect and not too big. Very helpful service

Stopped for a soup and a coffee. Staff was nice and food been served realy quick. The soup was great and good price also. Loads of choices for vegetarians. Very impressed.

I have always loved going to the Espy, although we don't get there as often as we would like as we don't live nearby. However, met a friend for lunch on Sunday and as usual, food was lovely and service was fantastic and for that I would give it 5 stars. However, I was seriously put off my food by the dirt and dead flies on the window ledge, this was not just from the previous day, it had obviously not been cleaned for weeks. The toilets also left a lot to be desired, definitlely needing a good clean. It's such a shame because it's a fab place. Come on guys, bring it back to its usual standards.

We stayed at Portobello beach for a few days and after our first dinner, we refused to try anywhere else! The staff are all so friendly and accommodating!!

We made a trip to Portobello and looked for a place to have a quick lunch at and ended up here. It looked nice enough, and the staff was very friendly to us. We had the soup of the day, which was okay (but not great) and had a nice time sitting there. It is very children-friendly (high chairs available and there were quite a few families eating here) and overall a good place (even though at least the soup didn't convince me).

Well. This was our second visit. Last week we had some delicious roasted sardines. Today, we returned, hoping for repeat performance. However, we left after a coffee having discovered in the condiments box some postcards adverting some thing called Alohah Bitches. I'm afraid I don't give my hard-earned money to people who condone that kind of misogynistic language. We won't be going back.

My favorite local pub. Food is reasonably priced and delicious, they always have a decent range of beers on tap and the bar men always know their stuff. Yummy cocktails too, not that cheap but definitely worth it. There is live music sometimes, and they do movie screenings but not sure about them as i don't really feel like watching a subtitled film in a pub, nice idea though. Also dog friendly so I always meet lovely little furry friends when I'm there :-)
