We are an independent, not-for-profit, government approved Ombudsman scheme for the retail, furniture and home improvement industries.

approved Ombudsman. We offer alternative dispute
resolution, training and advice t o traders and consumers in
the retail, furniture, and home i mprovement industries.
We are a voluntary scheme, as such each of our m embers
choose to work with us and t rusts us with t heir most priced
asset; their consumers.

We were set up by the Office of Fair Trading in 1992 and
this year we celebrate 25 years of raising standards. We
pride ourselves with the incredible expertise that we have
acquired over the past 25 y ears, including accredited
training, diverse team of professionals, a membership base
that covers over 16, 000 outlets and independent traders.
Last but not least, we work tirel essly to protect consumers’
rights and promote fair trade.
