Meet our Managing Director, Paul. He left school with two highers and landed his first job as a kitchen porter at 16. He attended night school to get more highers and then went on to study Hospitality Management at University; graduating at the age of 25.
Paul worked in the hospitality industry in Glasgow, the USA and London before opening his first business in 2010. He is now the proud owner of Cup Tea Rooms, Gin71 Bars and The Gin Spa. Proof that there is no wrong path into work and success!

What a place - the staff remember you from visit to visit. Wether you are here for a 30 min session or a full experience which afternoon tea thrown in it’s unbelievable! The staff care so so much Nichola and the team will make you feel amazing!!

The Gin Spa was outstanding! From the minute we arrived we were made to feel welcome with very friendly and informative staff. We were given a wee herbal tea and asked to fill out our paperwork followed by questions of expectations of the day. This was made fun by selecting 3 cards! Next was the neck, shoulder and back massage - one word - amazing! I opted for another small treatment which was a crackling cooling foot treatment - popping candy for feet! Loved it! Shannon was excellent - full of information and extremely helpful. Then we were escorted to the back of the salon for a yummy Gin (your choice from quite a selection) I opted for Brockmans - delish! 😍 Then we were given our wee goody bag and escorted to Cup for Afternoon Tea! Amazing experience - every Monday should be like this! Thank you to Gin Spa - I will be back!

Myself and2 friends have just indulged in the ‘Paint the Town’ package, which I have to say was amazing. Afternoon tea served with prosecco and a wide choice of specialty teas was absolutely delicious. Then, for our treatment, we opted for the full manicure with gel nails. We were made to feel special and talked through the whole process. Staff were lovely and the atmosphere was so calming. And to top it off, we got a gin cocktail to sip on as we were pampered. All in all, it was fabulous, well worth the 3 hour drive! Can’t recommend it enough. Least to say, we will be back. Thanks Gin Spa team.

My mum and I had a day at the spa today including a prosecco afternoon tea, as a treat before I get married in 3weeks time.

I had a back, neck and shoulder massage and a mini facial by Dimitrios.....wow, it was amazing! I found out after my treatments that it was Dimitrios's first day and he was a bit nervous....well Dimitrios you certainly didn't show any nerves. Very professional! The service from start to finish was perfect and I would recommend it to anyone. Thank you so much �

My husband gave this to me as a gift and it was the best present. The staff were great. The neck, back and shoulder massage was amazing and I felt like a new woman. My G&T and afternoon tea at Cup at the end topped off a lovely visit.

My daughter and I had a fab time courtesy of my husband. The staff were very welcoming, everything was explained to us when we arrived. Our treatments were fantastic. I had a full body massage and can honestly say it was by far the best I have had. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed hers too. We will certainly be back! We were each given a goodie back and a lovely gin. We were booked for an afternoon tea in the restuarant and that was amazing. We will certainly be back. I was with a party of 8 on Monday but on my way there I want over on my ankle, the staff couldn't be more helpful and gave me ice to sit my foot on, we all enjoyed our day, but after a trip to A&E I know have a cast on as I broke my foot, so will need to wait until it's off them come back for another lovely afternoon tea and treatment thanks everyone

I booked the Twilight package which included a 7 course tasting menu at Gin71 together with my friend. Right from the start, the attention to detail and professionalism of all of the staff shone through. Having been fortunate enough to visit some of the large spa chains in the past, I loved the uniqueness of this particular spa journey. It was small, intimate and distinctly individual. A refreshing change from the predictability of the larger businesses. I would highly recommend this unique spa to all. The staff were very knowledgable and delightful. We were served a lovely refreshing tea on arrival, our treatments were very personalised with our own choices of botanical oils. We also chose 3 quirky little inspirational cards for us to reflect on. The room and the heated massage bed were lovely. After a very relaxing full body massage, we were given delicious dark chocolate, again with the botanical twist & water, together with the chance to purchase retail items that had been matched to our own personal encounter,if we wished to. We were then offered a taste of the Gin71 experience with a refreshing and much appreciated gin drink. What a lovely concept that was further enhanced with the meal and staff at Gin71. We both felt extremely relaxed and were made to feel very special, thanks to all of the staff who made that happen.

I booked my mum in for a full body massage and the signature facial for mother’s day. When I collected my mum after her treatments she looked absolutely radiant. She said it was the best massage she has ever had and can’t wait to go back. The therapist recommended a head massage for her next appointment after feeling how much tension my mum holds in her shoulders.

The therapist also gave my mum some products to take home and try out herself.

Of course the gin cocktail at the end made the full experience even better.

How can you not give this 5*... Fabulous experience from start to finish. Had the Just the Tonic package for 3 people as a birthday surprise for one of the group. The others had a facial and I had the Reflexology. Lynne was amazing and very in tune with what reflexology is all about...finished it off with a crackling foot massage which has to be experienced. Treatments were followed by a gin of your choice in the salon...and there were LOADS to choose from.... and then off to the Cup Merchant for afternoon tea. We will be back �

Had an absolutey amazing day yesterday for my birthday treat from my daughter . Neck , back, shoulder massage by Nicola really did wonders for my sore muscles ! The small touches added to the whole experience. Prosecco afternoon tea in the sunshine finished off a wonderful day ...

Exceptional! I booked myself & my mum a massage & reflexology yesterday afternoon & was extremely excited to try The Gin Spa. What an experience!! My therapist Laura was absolutely amazing. She made me feel relaxed from the get go. Every detail of my treatment was carefully thought out & explained to me. I own my own holistic & beauty therapies business and was blown away by her technique, professionalism & healing hands. She was absolutely wonderful. The spa itself is gorgeous & my Basil Gin Cocktail & chocolate was sublime. Thank you for making a hard working mummy feel human again & for relaxing a very stressed granny. Amazing!! Birthday treat for my niece and we had a great time. Staff are fab and put you at ease. The atmosphere is relaxing and the welcome tea followed by gin and chocolates was the cherry on top!! Not to mention our afternoon tea that followed. Defo be back loved it � xo

Amazing setting with great staff. Felt relaxed and taken care of from the moment we stepped in. Added benefit was getting a great choice of gin for our drink at the end. Will definitely be back and highly recommend the packages as they are great value for money and give you the proper experience!

Absolutely incredible from start to finish. You made my partners 30th Birthday so memorable and special and we both feel on cloud nine. Our spa therapists were amazing and all of the staff were extremely kind and thoughtful. I would highly recommend and we will definitely be back!!! ��

A surprise birthday gift from my husband, a head massage. This was no ordinary head massage, it included back, neck, arms and hands. Lynne was excellent, very calming and enhanced the me time to a (g &) T.

The lovely gin at the end made the whole experience an excellent one.

My daughter for my birthday booked the afternoon tea and back massage. The afternoon tea was lovely and so much cakes and scones we ended up with a goodie box! So enjoyed the back massage the girl couldn’t have been anymore attentive. Found all the members of staff to be friendly. The girl described various gins and recommended some. I had a lovely afternoon a lovely birthday present.

Myself and a friend booked in for the back massage and afternoon tea deal. Both of us had totally different experiences. I had a lovely massage, and the lady was lovely to me. However my friend had a slap dash massage which apparently was really rough as painful even though they asked a few times to be less rough as it wasn't enjoyable. They were also left for 10 minutes while the lady 'quickly' went to grab the water, so that time was wasted off the approx time of the treatment. Also the gin sample at the end wasn't the most pleasant, the glasses were dirty and the drinking area is right next to the store room (or toilet? Not 100%) and the staff were rushing past us a lot so it wasn't very calming. Such a shame as we were so excited for this, and for the price of £110 I wouldn't recommend or return :( great idea though, just needs tweaking.
