Won a competition on Facebook for an evening meal (2 course meal with a bottle of wine for two) for The Glass Pavilion and was extremely excited to try it out for the first time and can not fault anything! The food and service were excellent! Would highly recommend and will definitely be back x

User

Went for lunch today as had an itison voucher. Thankfully I had booked as every table was full with people sitting outside. The young staff were friendly and efficient. We had 2 courses - starter and main - which took a wee while to come which was understandable with the restaurant being full. I had fish & chips, my Mum and son had mac cheese. 2 of us had Ferrero Roche cheesecake with my son having brownie with ice cream. The food was all very fresh and tasty. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends, and plan to return. Great to see a local business being supported so well.

Today 30/5 I had the full breakfast with 2 of my friends. We ate outside as it was a beautiful day and couldn't fault either the food or the service. Very pleasant young man, didn't catch his name but he was heavily tattoed, and also James who we know. Both were cheerful and helpful. Will be recommending to friends, and no doubt return.

Staff here are so helpful. Service is great. Outside terrace is amazing for pets and viewing sporting events, top idea and I’ll keep coming back for those reasons. Oh and that big pile of blankets for people to use when the North Sea air comes in are amazing

User

Our 2nd visit. After a walk with the dogs we popped in for a snack before going home - hamburger chips and Halloumi fries. Husband had a cheese panini.

We enjoyed the visit and hope to return.

The place was busy with people inside and outside, a busy Resteraunt is usually a good Resteraunt - I would recommend.

User

I have been meaning to come in for some time now and was treated this morning from a friend with an it is on voucher. Very impressed with the breakfast, I couldn’t finish everything on my plate but tried it all delicious! Lovely place with amazing views over the river, friendly staff, very accommodating for vegetarians. I will be back!!

User

Had breakfast here yesterday, all of our food was cooked well and nicely presented. A wasp landed in my cranberry juice, and this was spotted by the attentive staff, and replaced without me having to say a word. It’s a nice friendly place and we will be back to try out the lunch menu.

User

Am disgusted with the service and the food provided today as a Mother's Day special costing £30 for my self and my daughter. This was supposed to be a treat paid for by my granddaughter and was daylight robbery. After a wait of 10 mins we were finally asked what we would like to drink and after a further wait we were given a 3 tier cake stand consisting of 6 small triangles of bread ,2 with cheese, 1 with ham, 1 with best and 2 with nothing but the tiniest pierces of lettuce and a slither of tomato, ( have taken photos of this). The cake plate consisted of 8 of the tiniest cakes ever seen ,every one an inch long and the top tier contained 2 lovely looking scones with jam but unfortunately were stale .The lattes were nice but the the cheap plonk passed off as Procecco was the last straw. No one came near our table at all and when we did decide to leave we had to approach a member of staff with our complaint and were brushed aside and told " oh I will let the chef know". No you will let the management know as we do not intend to let the go

User

The food was really good once we were served. I realise it was busy with the wedding celebration in side but we had to stop the waiter/waitress to get served then the order was wrong then we were forgot about and had to ask again lucky it was a lovely day to sit out side to wait and we were not in a hurry, however this is the second time the service was not great. More training for staff maybe helpful e.g. Clear tables before serving the next customer food etc

User

Can’t fault the staff every single one of them were lovely. The heat was near unbearable, yes very sunny I understand but air-con of some sort would have been a plus. Location was amazing. Cocktail was absolutely beautiful 👌.

Starters- chicken and chorizo skewers were lovely.

Soup was carrot and butternut squash, I didn’t really enjoy it but that’s not saying its not nice just not to my taste, would have loved some crusty bread as opposed to slices but still presented well.

Mains- fish, chips and mushy peas. Other half liked it and I tasted the fish and it was beautifully cooked.

Steak pie, mash and peas (asked for onion rings but were none left) - again was really tasty and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Desserts- (asked for brownie but was none) strawberry and white chocolate cheesecake, tastes nice apart from the fact it was clearly just taken out of the freezer and we could have done with a chisel to eat it.

Trio of mini desserts- trifle, was lovely top layor of strawberry compot tastes like homemade jam yum! Tiramisu, again really tasty and some sort of Layored chocolate toffee dessert which was lovely too.

I felt it was a bit more than I’d liked to have paid for the food but the location, hospitality and cocktail won me over.

I would return for maybe a lunch or a few drinks outside, it was still a pleasant experience.

User

Very nice setting and reasonable food which was a couple of pounds dearer than the equivalent in a lot of other places nearby. I suppose that's the price you pay for sitting outside in the sun with a view of aherm parked cars and a bit of the Tay.

Hard to justify £4.50 a pop for three quarters of a pint of lager or £5.90 for a glass of wine though.

User

This place should be so much better. Such a beautiful location, and perhaps that is the problem - they know they will always have customers. Warned that there would be a wait for our lunch order as it was busy, but 40 minutes after ordering seemed too long to wait for a wrap and a burger. I had ordered a grilled chicken wrap, checking first with the waitress that this was served hot. Unfortunately it arrived stone cold, and was taken away and returned after spending some time in the microwave. The grilled chicken certainly hadn’t seen a grill in recent times - it looked like the kind you buy from a packet in Tescos. On a more positive note, my sweet potato fries when they arrived (forgotten from our original order) were great. And I treated myself to a slice of cake to make up for the chicken wrap disappointment, and it was very nice. I’d visit again just for coffee and cake.

User

Had booked a table for 5 for lunch at 1.30 pm. Unfortunately after sitting for approx 20 minutes,we had to ask for service, staff walked by us on numerous occasions and appeared not to see us! I asked to be moved to another table as the sun was streaming through the window (and although very welcome,it was very hot). Had to move table again as the table we were put at required to be cleaned. After a further ten minutes we had again to ask for service and were eventually given menus. The food was ok.The drinks order we placed had to be corrected twice!

There was a distinct lack of interest from most of the staff, some of them need to be more aware of their unprofessional attitudes in "making faces"behind a customers back! It was clearly busy, however,a strong Management presence would have picked up on this and directed staff accordingly!

Might be an idea to use cleaner cloths when wiping tables as the ones I saw were disgusting and certainly would not pass health and safety standards!

Such a lovely location and good menu choices.

Need someone front of house to direct staff.

User

Was here a few weeks ago on Saturday! The service we got was not great! I ordered a cocktail for to be told five minutes later they didn’t have the correct ingredients I then ordered something else to be asked if I knew what the ingredients were for the girl to make, few minutes later the girl came out with the cocktail an ingredient was missing from it and it came with no ice! I couldn’t fault the meal that I had but I think you may need to train your staff more on cocktails! Not sure if I would return if I was wanting drinks with my meal.

User

So today we visited for lunch and were very disappointed. Although the staff were friendly they seemed totally stressed and unorganised. We waited half an hour on 2 coffees which where not hot. The sugar on the table was solid, had batter it of the table to get it the packet, like killing a fish but no big deal. Then managed to order some food eventually after sitting at a dirty table for another half an hour. Table was cleared but not cleaned and very sticky, but still no huge deal.

We order cullen skink soup, and a variety of breads with olives, balsamic vinegar and oil. What we got was a small amount of luke warm soup, with cold tatties garnished with skin of cream on top, not a fish in sight. Canned baxters would be on a parallel. also received sliced cheap bread stale on one side and freezer burnt on the other, although one slice had a splash of what looked like beetroot juice on it which I suppose was interesting....cross contamination??

Olives were nice, would have been nicer with promised oil or balsamic vinegar?

Mentioned our concerns on paying bill but there were too many to mention, just wanted home to get fed. Offered to let me speak to the manager but we really just wanted away by then.Waste of beautiful location ...and money. Nice for a seaside drink but may not order food again.

User

Have been here many a time for coffee/hot chocolate after walks on the beach. Never had an issue. Yesterday however visiting with 2 others we decided to go for lunch. It was the nicest Saturday of the year so far and probably busier than they expected. Meals took an age to arrive, the drinks got lost, no dressing on the 'salad' (rocket and tomato), forgot the cheese on my burger, nothing seasoned at all and to top it off the Apple was cold and the crumble on top more like damp flour. Wishing we had stuck to our original choice. Not in a rush to return. Other customers did seem happier. Maybe we were unlucky.

User

Came here today to have brunch with my husband and 8 month old baby, and was very disappointed in the overall experience. We were ignored by most of the staff, with the exception of one nice lady who brought us a high chair. After waiting approximately 15/20 minutes we were asked whether we wanted food but advised that if we did likely be a half hour wait. We should have been told this much sooner, as we had already got settled. No well established restaurant should be turning away custom or be unable to handle busy periods

User

Cajun. Mm well that conjures up moist chicken maybe black rice. ?Corn ? Avocado ?. Beans ?

So when I ordered the salad of the day Cajun chicken apparently , the last thing I expected was a bowl of chopped lettuce a few underripe tomatoes some rocket no dressing

Topped with strips of dry chicken liberally covered with a bottle of Cajun powder spice . Virtually inedible.

In this beautiful building that should be a star disappointed beyond measure.

Cut the menu choice

Get a few good statement choices

Speed up the service and get someone who knows about cooking good food in the kitchen
