Fascinating insight into the history of the highland regiment. Great admiration of the bravery of these soldiers for the work they have done over all these year in serving the nation

I recently had the pleasure of capturing the Gordon Highlanders Museum in a one off artistic illustration and was delighted to find out about the history, the place, and the people which make this such a unique institution in Aberdeen.
-
Having read an article in the Evening Express about the recent fundraising efforts to secure the future of the museum, I knew immediately that it was a cause I wanted to help out with in some way, and specialising in local architectural illustration and sculpture, decided to create a one-off drawing of the museum's beautiful premises, St. Luke's.
-
The entire process was not without challenge, but the end result came out beautifully and I hope the donation will help raise some funds for the preservation of such a historic and well loved institution as this;
-
The piece is to be auctioned off at an upcoming event, and I give my sincerest congratulations to the person whose wall it ends up on!
-
A great place you will have to visit if you have not already, and a big thanks to Bryan and everyone at the Gordon Highlanders Museum for keeping alive the history,
-
Best Wishes,
Jamie Cameron

Fantastic staff, very friendly and informative on the exhibition. The exhibit itself is great because it not only provides great photo opportunities but also has interactive parts for kids.
I also recommend checking out the gardens at the back.

Love this place, just wonderful. Ticket is for more than just one visit. Stuff great and very nice. We had private museum tour coz there were no other people interested in that moment. Just great!

An important part of Aberdeen history. It was great to go back and visit the Gordon Highlanders Museum, last time I visited was in primary school. Very informative, staff are lovely. Even have a cafe which seemed popular, although did not eat there. Upon entrance we were given a card that allowed free entry to the museum before a given date, which is a great idea.

A great experience for young and old. The tea room has great light food and fancy cakes as well. Staff are all volunteers and a lot of them are ex military so know what they're talking about. If you haven't been you should definitely check it out.

Excellent information and beautifully told stories of the regiment and of the heroic acts of its members. Very moving.

NIce cafe run by Volunteers in Most part. Museum is well worth a visit but there is a charge for this. Original HQ of Gordon Highlanders.
