There is a blocked drain in The Hidden Lane this morning. Whilst this doesn't directly affect the Tearoom it is a bit disgusting. If you do pop down and see us today please be aware there are workmen in the Lane trying to fix the issue. Thanks

So what are people's thoughts? At the Tearoom we use biodegradable coffee cups and lids for our takeaway coffees and encourage people to bring their own cup by offering 20p off the cost of your coffee. Should larger companies be encouraged to do more? Or is it the cup manufacturers that are to blame? Would love to know your thoughts xx

Went to the hidden lane tea rooms for my birthday treat. And what a perfect little treat it was. Decor is cute and quirky. Start to finish the staff were friendly and very helpful. We choose the luxury afternoon tea £15 per person. Lovely little selection of sandwiches. My boyfriend loved the brioche bun with the Brie and apple. The cakes were so delicious hard to pick a favourite, the little shortbread with the lemon flavour was very refreshing. Tried the fruit fusion apple and rose tea which smelt amazing and surprisingly tasted great as well. My boyfriend had the white peony tea too it was yum. Will definitely look forward to visiting again. Oh and my bf loved the music choices playing too.....thank you for making my 33rd birthday one to remember X

Went here for my mum's 60th. Had afternoon tea. The staff were lovely and caters for our dietary requirements. The food was delicious. Cakes were light and fluffy. The only one slight improvement which could be made is a better sandwich to cake ratio. Slightly too few sandwiches and too many cakes.

User

We had the Afternoon Tea for 5 plus 1 child’s Afternoon Tea. The staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive. The food was lovely, homemade and really nicely presented. There was plenty to eat, and we were able to bring what was left home in little cartons. Overall a lovely afternoon, great for all ages, would highly recommend

User

Thank you so much to Kirsty-Jane and the team on Saturday for helping my sister make the first half of my hen do go so smoothly! Everyone loved the afternoon tea and you guys were so friendly and efficient! Just wish I could do it all again! Thanks again for everything!

User

Sometimes when I need to get out of the office for a change of scenery I'll take my laptop and spend a wee hour drinking tea and working away. The tea choice is amazing, the cakes are so good(even though I do try not to eat them!) and the food is great. The staff are also super friendly. Definitely the cutest tearoom in Glasgow, a must see!

User

Lovely quaint busy wee tea shop. It's a shame I'm on a diet as the cakes looked very nice but I was just in for lunch. Great tea selection too.

User

Lovely place, lovely staff good food and great atmosphere. Catered for my complicated allergy situation very well! Definitely consider this for hen days or a wee party

User

Lovely little tea room, loved the quirkiness of it and it's location. Got a lovely luxury afternoon tea with some delicious cakes and sandwiches. Particularly enjoyed the coconut cake and the Apple and Brie sandwich :-) Staff were very nice and service was quick and efficient.

User

Just a lovely way to spend a birthday lunch, no airs and graces unlike big hotels that have add an afternoon tea to their menu as an afterthought. You can really feel it’s a passion and true love for everyone working there x

User

I throughly enjoyed my vegan afternoon tea in pleasant quirky surroundings. Every one of the staff I spoke with were friendly and showed great customer service. Highly recommend and I will definitely be back.

User

Had a lovely evening here for my cousin's hen party. Best gluten free sandwiches and cakes I have ever had. Will definitely be back. Thanks Hidden Lane Tearoom!

User

Found this wee gem for the first time yesterday. I had the soup and sandwich. Beautiful carrott, chilli and coconut soup and the roast beef sandwich and a pot of tea. The bread was so soft and fresh and the fillings very tasty. My friend had the soup and a tuna sandwich and then a Chai biscuit which I tried a nibble of. It was devine. They do a great range of teas etc. and they have a BYOB policy with corkage charge if you fancied having an afternoon tea with a small refreshment. I'm definitely going to go back for an afternoon tea. The cakes also looked amazing although I didn't partake. It's such a quaintly decorated place I couldn't take my eyes off all the different things to see. Looking forward to my next visit.

User

Found this place by accident while looking for somewhere to wait while my daughter was attending a meeting nearby.

A cosy little shop, the staff were friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere was lovely.

I had gone in looking for something like a bacon roll and a cup of coffee but, having perused the menu, decided on American style pancakes with bacon and maple syrup accompanied by a Peach Melba Chai tea. Best decision I could have made - the pancakes were made fresh, the bacon was very flavourful and the syrup was a good quality. The tea was the best drink I have ever encountered.

I settled up and went to pick up my daughter who had finished her meeting and, when she announced that she was hungry, promptly returned. She got the afternoon tea to go which included 3 wee sandwiches, a big scone with jam and clotted cream and she chose a jasmine tea. I’ve since been informed that it was excellent.

Safe to say we’ll be going there again and I can thoroughly recommend it to everyone.

User

First of all...Amazing Afternoon Tea and very friendly staff. Love the vintage interior and old fashioned porcelain A place I keep coming back to.

User

Always enjoy this venue, all fresh baked and the team here are extremely pleasant and willing to stop and take the time to make you feel really welcome.

User

A joy to find to rest my feet ... yummy cakes and refreshing tea

User

Absolutely love this place, the choice of tea is fantastic, the staff are always so friendly & the sandwiches are delicious - the only thing I think could be improved upon for the afternoon tea is to offer the choice of sandwiches & cakes you get so you don’t get anything you don’t like.

User

Lovely wee place down the lane .Food was nice and fresh and cakes delicious .Staff were great but one member was a bit rude as we were sent downstairs to choose our cakes and she told us rather abruptly “go and sit down as it was table service!” The other girl apologised and could not have been nicer .Would still go back🍰
