I had a wee nosey into the cottage earlier to see how the works were progressing (a bit later than planned to accomodate last minute bookings) and it is looking amazing!!
Can't wait to share with you all - new colour scheme and other improvements that I'm sure you'll love.

We stayed here a couple of weeks before Christmas. It's small but perfectly formed, a real hidden gem. It is beautifully decorated, and has all you would need. It's comfortable and warm. The village of Auldearn is quiet, but near enough to Nairn for most of your needs. We would walk the mile and a half or so to Sainsburys for our exercise. We visited far and wide in the North East of Scotland, proof it is perfectly situated. I didn't think we'd use the hot tub - we were in it every night!!!! Especially nice with a glass of wine, and at night. We even used it when it was raining!!! It is a bit noisy which is more noticable at night but it didn't spoil things. We'd definitely come back and have recommended it to others. Communication with Jane the owner was excellent and the welcome pack appreciated. ;-)

Just home from a fantastic stay at Alba Cottage, Auldearn. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to be centrally located for exploring the Highlands - Moray Firth area of Scotland. The cottage was perfect and had everything required for a stress free visit. Will definitely be back!!

Just back from an awesome holiday at The Hideaway. The house is beautifully done and we loved the hot tub. The gardens are so private you feel really at home. It's a great base for all the local activities. We will definately return.

I do not want to go home!! I have really enjoyed my stay at the Hideaway. The location is just on the doorstep of everything the highlands offers, and the accommodation just keep on giving! I expected little sachets of Nescafé. I got top end Millicano. I expected a light blow hotel style hair dryer. I found a fab hairdryer... and straighteners!. I needed a wee shampoo bottle. I got the full range from highland Aromatics! I expected a cheap washing up liquid. I got pretty much the cleaning and laundry supplies on any sainsbury a shelf! I could go on and on about the thoughtfulness and cleanliness of this little highland gem, but instead I need to jump into the hot tub this evening before I sadly check out tomorrow. I will be back and would certainly recommend to you.
