Very traditional and cozy hotel. Great food and the location is perfect to visit a few distilleries. The view in the morning is absolutely stunning
Amazing staff made this our favorite hotel on our 14 day trip through the UK. The room was clean and comfortable. Had a great bathroom. The breakfast and bar were very good. Highly recommend this hotel. It's close enough to the distilleries that we walked to them.

Excellent! We stayed in room 8, so awesome with a big bath tub ! We arrived before check in and they let us leave our luggage to go walk around. Food was fabulous, breakfast and dinner just wonderful. Robin in the bar /casual dinner was really friendly and great . I would stay here again, longer !
The hotel itself is lovely. We stayed in room 14 which I think is there last room so the bedroom is quite large and the bathroom / washroom (whatever you call it) is quite nice. I'm appreciative of the hotels here that are original and quaint on the outside but modern inside. It is literally right off the pier so if you take the CalMac ferry you can step off and fall over into your room. Staff are all friendly as you'd think given it's a Scottish Isle.. loved it.
The Islay Hotel restaurant is phenomenal - all of the food in our three meals we had there was so tasty, fresh, creatively seasoned and overall great. The bar also has a grand collection of Islay whisky festival editions of local whiskies - we did our best to try as many as we could in our 4 day stay on Islay. If you are there on a busy weekend, make a reservation even if you are staying at the hotel.
Staff were excellent. Really accommodating to a bunch of us noisy Scots and Australians. Brilliant live music session on the Friday evening.

Great weekend in fantastic little hotel. We had a Platinum room which was great - big room, big bed, Jacuzzi bath. Dinner and Breakfast also really good. Will come back if we get the chance!
