We had a wonderful early dinner yesterday with our family - the ivy staff were all very courteous and very helpful - ensuring our 3 year old granddaughter was served first with her dinner while we had starters and mains . Food was very well presented and delicious.

Looking forward to our next visit perhaps for the afternoon tea with champagne

Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at The Ivy, Edinburgh. The food was very good and the serve great too. My daughter was also with us, age 11 and pescatarian so not always the easiest to get food that she really enjoys. The fishcake was delicious. We will be back. Thank you :)

User

This is a beautiful restaurant, I had a Crispy Duck Salad for a starter, I would go back just for that dish alone. The service was prompt and the waiters very courteous. If anyone is thinking of going, make a booking now. Highly recommended.

User

The staff are fantastic. Great service. The food is delicious. My steak was cooked to perfection exactly as ordered. Lovely touch at the end with our tea and coffee was a small dish of chocolate truffles with a little bar of chocolate on which was written happy anniversary - finished the night off with such a lovely touch.

User

The food is reasonably priced for the standard and attention to detail. The quality of the food, and the presentation was very good. I would say our vegetables were slightly overcooked but on the whole the food was excellent. The service was also exceptional. It also has a relaxed atmosphere.

User

Thank you to The Ivy for looking after me today! I was trying to feed my newborn daughter and couldn't see an empty bench nearby, the Ivy staff invited me to sit down and brought me a glass of water and blankets to keep us cosy. Thank you! ♥️

User

Popped into The Ivy today on the off-chance of a drink/lunch. Only available seats were at the bar, but that meant we could watch the bar staff at their work. They were happy to answer my several questions!! Drinks were lovely. Some of us had a starter for lunch - prawn cocktail (“best I’ve ever had”), mozzarella (“delicious”) & smoked salmon ( very tasty!).

Delighted with food & drink. Bar staff apologised for not speaking to us enough!! We will be back!!

User

My friend and I enjoyed a lovely lunch here. The food was first class, the service extremely attentive, accommodating and friendly and the drinks were top quality. If you like your champagne, their choice was excellent. The ambiance was fabulous.

User

Just had an amazing meal, food was great, not over priced and most of all the service from Rebecca was the best. Lovely atmosphere, can't wait to go back.

User

I'm a comedian up in Edinburgh playing The Stand. I popped in here for brunch today. I got a lovely seat by the bar (love seeing all the bar action with olives etc!). The service was impeccable and the staff are very friendly. I wolfed the eggs royale and chips - YUM. After my cappuccino I asked for another one and it's A FREE REFILL. It's wonderfully bright too unlike its sister restaurant in London. The colour scheme is ravishing. And not an actor in sight. But there's a very happy comic sat at your bar having a third cappuccino.

I will return.

Thank you.

Had an absolutely amazing dinner last night for my birthday! Service was fantastic as was the food. My waiter was lovely and very attentive, think his name was Sergio? Had a great night so thank you

User

Had a really good lunch there yesterday 8 May My daughter is vegan and had good choices for her too. She had the house champs which she really enjoyed and I had the best Cosmopolitan I’ve had outside New York x 2. Our waitress was friendly attentive little girl, dark curly hair bubbly personality. Wish I’d taken her name now. All in all a really good days ning experience. Keep it up. ❤️

User

Friends and I had looked forward to our dinner out for months, & from the moment we arrived, I was impressed by the courteous and friendly staff. Our cocktails were poured with just the right amount of pazzazz & tasted amazing. Our meals were superb and our waiter recommended a very nice bottle of white wine, which was by far not the dearest one. All in all, we had a ball. Cannot wait to go back for Brunch in June with a different set of friends. Bravo!!

User

A longtime school friend treated me to a delightful lunch at the Ivy today. I was so impressed by the staff. I live overseas and had trouble connecting with another friend with whom I had arranged to meet up with after lunch. I had accidentally left my UK phone at my Airbnb. A kind lady at the front desk tracked down my friend on FB and tried to send a message. We eventually connected. She went over and beyond to ensure a happy customer. Also the meal was delicious.

User

A group of us booked for afternoon tea last week for my birthday. It was really lovely, the staff were friendly and welcoming also the decor is fabulous. I can’t wait to go back again.

User

What a lovely place, great atmosphere, excellent staff. The food was delicious, despite my meal being covered in the dreaded coriander, which wasn’t on the menu, the staff dealt with it very well. They couldn’t have been nicer and more accommodating. The manager even said they intended to review their menu descriptions. Whether they do or not, I’ll still definitely come back, but will ask if my one pet hate is an ingredient, even if not mentioned. The Ice cream and sorbet dessert was divine, particularly the mango.

The only negative was the 12.5% service charge. As a result we didn’t leave a gratuity, which would have been greater than the amount charged. This practice needs a serious re-think.

User

Nothing special. Not much room to move. All very cramped space. Waiting staff walking around with there noses in air.. Saw one of the bar men wash a glass in sink. Then rub the water from dink through his hair.. And not washing his hands.. Yuk. Not impressed
