The John Muir Way & Nocturnal Ultra Marathons Description
Saturday the 23rd of April 2016 will be the launch date for a brand new and ultra-exciting event on the running calendar; The John Muir Way Ultra Marathon. The race will be delivered by the experienced Team who have brought you the FoxTrail Winter Running Series.
The John Muir Way Ultra Marathon is the first race of its type on the East coast and guarantees to provide competitors with mile upon mile of East LothianтАЩs most stunning and iconic coastal stretches, rural landscape and woodland trails. The route will begin at the Port Seton Promenade and primarily follow the well-established John Muir Way and meander through a number of historic towns and villages including Aberlady, Gullane and North Berwick with race finishing at Foxlake Adventures, Dunbar.
The John Muir Way Ultra Marathon will be 50km in distance and include touches of elevation as the trail heads in-land and away from the coastline. The John Muir Ultra Marathon is going to creating a fantastic opportunity for new and entry level Ultra Runners to take the plunge and sign up for a new, big challenge. The race will also provide elite and advanced runners with a new, easily accessible race onto their event schedule.
The Race registration will take place at Foxlake Adventures, Dunbar where cars are welcome to be parked for the duration of the race. Transport to the race start in Port Seton will be provided as part of the entry fee. The race will finish At Foxlake Adventures, Dunbar.

What do you say at the end of a day like that! Our biggest and our best Ultra to date. We are not understating this when we say we are so proud of each and every one of you that crosses that line. You guys are incredible. So many smiles, so many people pushing their limits, congratulations to each and everyone of you. Until next year. A couple of FAQ and answers that are arising;
Can I register at PS?
... - YES but we need prior knowlege. If logistically this will work better for you please send us an email to the above address and we will add you to the list. If we don't get prior knowledge we will assume you DNS.
I am in a team, can we BOTH register at Port Seton?
NO. first leg runner can register at PS (please ensure you let us know in advance ^^) Second leg runners will register in North Berwick (their start line) at the lifeboat shed. Registration is from 10am for second leg runners.
