Went to the jolly yesterday with my friend and my little boy for lunch service was brilliant food was great and they even had a wee colouring sheet and crayons to keep the Wee man entertained while he waited for his food would definitely come back. Xx

Went for lunch with my family, really friendly and the food was amazing! Everyone was well catered for! �

Went for ladies who lunch with friends, had a fantastic meal, definitely recommend it, great food, service and value, especially the cocktails as part of the deal ��

Was in on Saturday for the Ladies 3-2-1 which consisted of 3 courses, 2 glass wine & 1 cocktail... was defo value for money, lovely meal , will defo be back in soon :-)

Was here for lunch today and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great menu, fantastic food and lovely service. Will definitely be back

Was at the jolly for lunch on Saturday with my mother,both had fish and chips. The food was lovely and over generous portions. They have a new 321 meal you get three course 2 wines and a cocktail costing £20. I will try that next. Staff were professional and polite without being stifling. Great team good place to eat and meet friends

Was at the burns night on 12th January what a great night and the food was excellent will definitely be back.

This is our favourite place to come for some food, even better it’s the only place my 3 year old will eat all her dinner , she requests to go to ‘the pub’ for lunch :)

Practically perfect in every way - steak to our liking, sides absolutely delish and dessert tremendous - price totally worth every penny, fab service - back soon ��and I don't usually review anything!

Phoned at the last minute to book a table for 9, were very helpful & accommodating despite already being very busy. Food was delicious, service was great & staff were brilliant. Thank you. X

Never been before. Pasta Cabanara was very good, nice creamy sauce. My beloved had the ribs. Fantastic, (had to have a doggy bag). Apple crumble and banoffee pie were great. Service was good and attentive. Lovely and clean place. Will return. Well recommended by Stuart And Debbie.

My nephew and I have been for lunch here a few times now . The meals are excellent. Plenty of choice on the menu . Service is great too . Will certainly be back

Have been a few times now for food. Never had a bad meal. Was at the Sunday carvery as my daughter's choice for her birthday lunch out recently. My son happened to mention it was her birthday and when her dessert came the waitress remembered and it came with a candle on it for her. Lovely touch. Thank you. x

Family lunch of 7 adults and 3 kids. All had carvery, all plates full to over flowing, all plates cleared. Best carvery yet. Nice thick cuts of tender meats, nice veg (wife said she would have liked more options), nice puddings, reasonably priced and nice atmosphere. Couldnt ask for more. Well done team Jolly.��

Came tonight with the kids had a beautiful meal and so fresh, loads on the menu to choose from and so reasonable will definitely be back! X

Booked family meal for Mother’s Day 5.30pm. Pub was busy however on walking through the door we were welcomed immediately on arrival and shown to table. Excellent food and service as normal .

Absolutely brilliant! Birthday party of 4 adults and 4 kids.All plates full to overflowing. Steaks cooked perfectly-one of the best we've ever had! Staff lovely and very helpful. Big thank you to the kitchen chef Damian for the surprise he made for me.Will definitely return.Well recommended!

In the vein of constructive critique I would say slice a few of the olives and leave a few whole.

The whole meal was brill value and served perfectly by Bobbyanne!!

Had a family gathering yesterday . Great buffet & service , highly recommend !

Good pub had a meal last night at jolly very friendly staff but not impressed with the meal my son in law had beef stroganoff but only got a spoonfuls off rice,we also felt the fish could have done to be cooked a bit longer a bit disappointed with food .

Main course of chicken fajitas was excellent but the desert of chocolate and vanilla cheesecake was awful - it was served in a wine glass and consisted off far too much cream a bit of chocolate and some biscuit crumbs - yuck, no way was that cheesecake in any shape or form!

Just been for a meal with family we go quiet regular. went in at 6oclock never got menus for 15minutes, another 10minutes before we got a drink. Order placed at 6.35. Then got told there would be a 25minute wait. 7.45 our main courses came out we had all ordered starters they came out. The last meal got served at 8oclock and it was cold, really disappointed...

As a regular customer, I feel sad at leaving the following review. A few months ago I would have rated 5*, unfortunately though over the last few visits myself and my family have been quite disappointed in the quality of food.



When you first re-opened, the menu was fab, plenty of choices for different tastes. More importantly the food was tasting amazing for pub grub! But more recently I feel let down. The me ye is very limited. The food is bland, the chips are poor, the onion rings and other items that are deep fried are left ringing in fat. The side salad is mainly lots of mixed onion and lettuce with no dressing.



Please please please �address the issues that myself and others have left as we love coming to the Jolly, it's our local, the staff are great, atmosphere superb but the quality of food service is letting you down just now �

Party was booked in Oct 2016 for party in April 2017 we were told the last meal would be served at 6 pm as party was to start at 7 pm and they were still serving food at 7 15 pm i was not very happy with that .Family and friends arrived at 7 pm and had to stand around as there was no seats .I did not say anything at the time as i did not want any more problems .The staff were nice and they did set up the tables.but i think you should not over book yourselves .Having said all that at the end of the day we did have a good time .

It took an hour and a half to get our meal to night. Meal came before starters. Quality was poor with unseasoned macaroni cheese and cold lasagna. Staff worked hard and apologised however. Would have been better to have closed kitchen or offer a reduced menu.

Disappointed that we booked a table for a family meal at 6.30 and were not told of the event happening the same day....as a result we had to sit and listen to shouting and swearing, very drunk people and couldn't hear ourselves speak it was so noisy with a 10 year old and when we spoke to staff were told ' We do it every year and it was meant to finish at 6.30' which isn't very helpful. I understand that events are organised here but you need to tell people that are phoning up before hand to book tables that these events are happening. As a result we left early feeling disappointed that our evening wasn't what we had planned.

Will never be back , was up for a family get together , menus were 20 minutes comming to our table , and waited 1hour for food , they then got the order wrong and food was poor quality

Waited an hour for our starters, which came and was very tasteless, plus was missing items from the sharing plater. Then another hour for our main which was horrible too. Macaroni like water! If I hadn’t already paid I’d have left due to such slow service. Young boy was apologetic and I feel he got a lot of stick as it was not just our table complaining. Overall, left hardly having touched food and still hungry!! Been a jolly customer for years and I will not be back.

So sad to put this review as it's our local. 2 hours for 3 out of 6 of us to get food. Place is a shambles. Some staff are rushed of their feet. Macaroni sent back. Can't believe chef sent this out it was like soup!! 3 members of our group still not had food. Walked out. Disgrace. Gone to Wetherspoons to get fed.
