The Jolly Judge will be hosting a meet the brewer and tap takeover from one of Edinburgh's finest new breweries.
It will feature an Historic Berliner Weisse, which is a mixed-culture fermentation raw sour beer with brettanomyces and lactobacillus that was aged for 9 months.

Tap list includes a 9.4% imperial stout on cask, a rye IPA exclusive to the Judge, and the North Sea Bridges DIPA made with Dry & Bitter Brewing Company. It's sure to be a good one!

A reminder that tonight we are hosting a tap takeover from Black Isle Brewery! There will be 11 beers available including an exclusive Rye IPA, a very rare chance to try the Systems Theory Imperial Stout on cask and the Dry & Bitter Brewing Company North Sea Bridges collaboration.

We had a great time! The bartenders helped us try new whiskeys! All their choices were spot on! Also met some locals who were so fun to talk to... great place!

Visited quite a few pubs in the city and this was my favourite. Real cider and perry and good selection of real ale. The staff were good too, made an effort to find a drink to suit individual tastes.

This is a great wee pub ! It's an oasis of enjoyment with great beers and whiskies just off of the hectic Royal mile. One of my favourite Edinburgh pubs

Reminds me of a lot of wee pubs in Belfast, down an alley underground, fire burning and friendliest staff, odd 9% IPA beers

I love this wee pub. Lovely food, good selection of drinks and friendly staff. We visit every time we go through to Edinburgh now after finding it. I love the real fire, it makes it really cosy.

I had a great afternoon in the jolly judge, staff are very friendly, they have a great selection of beers ūüćļ malt whiskeys ūü•É gins, the staff are very knowledgable about all their ales, gins & malts. They also do lovely food. I would recommend this bar to everyone 10 out of 10 from me ūüĎćūüŹĽūüŹīů†Āßů†ĀĘů†Ā≥ů†Ā£ů†Āīů†ĀŅūüá¨ū üáß

Found it by accident and what a little gem with friendly staff, great atmosphere, warm and inviting and finally great assortment of alcoholic beverages

Excellent little pub.... brilliant customer service knowledgeable staff; well versed in the history of the area and pub it's self. Very affordable. Top quality ales and ciders.... well worth a visit....

Cracking small pub to go to with a good selection of beer and great service

A whisky experience...tucked away just off the royal mile you will find just the right spot to settle in and belly up. Whether you want to embark on a whisky tour of the top shelf, drink Edinburgh gin or pour a Mexicate stout (11%) from the tap, you will be in good hands with Jack, Whiskers and Timothia. We never made it to a shift with barkeep Adam; however, he adds to the environ even when just there as a patron. Monday night is quiz night with the Quiz Master! Em and I hope to be back one day.

A good atmosphere means there are people you like, and as I like a peaceful happy talking sociable bunch the JJ has a good 'atmosphere' for me (as opposed to earsplitting music and fighting). It's also small and cosy, and has an interesting location via a footpath. But main thing is good cask beers and the very rare cask perry

It was tiny. Food was good. Liked the atmosphere.

Great beer Lovely pub. Not the biggets place and gets filled up quickly but well worth a visit

Cracking boozer. Only a flying visit this time, will spend a bit longer there next time I'm in town
