We are trialling a new breakfast menu and opening time from this weekend. Our breakfast menu will be served every Sat/Sun from 9am-12pm. Come join us this weekend and try our new menu.
Depending on demand we will look to make this a permanent offering. Normal menu served from 12pm onwards as usual.

You have to go and try Katie’s Cocktails. This young lady has to be commended on making the best cocktails I have ever tasted... She even made some that weren’t on the menu .... Thank you So much���

Went in for lunch and it was full but there were 2 single tables and the staff put them together for us and were very friendly and the food was excellent would go back and highly recommended it prices are very reasonable as well

Was here last night with my 2 sisters and my dad for my sisters birthday and would just like to thank everyone on shift even security , we had a fabulous night and were made welcome by everyone . Food was good staff were friendly was a fab night all round .

The Kirkhouse is an excellent establishment to have a meal. The menu is varied with something to suit everyone. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Prices are also very responsible - very well worth a visit.

Had my first meal at the Kirkhouse a few weeks ago as my brother and his work mate were up fitting my kitchen and they had been eating there at night, so took my mother there last night for dinner and I can only say that the steak pie was delicious, not one bit of grissle and big pieces of steak fabulous, staff were so polite and friendly, I'll be back fantastic local pub diner. Oh and prices really reasonable.

Had fab wee bar lunch staff and food were great lovelybafternoon we had thank you will defo be back 👍

Drove in car park, excellent - warm welcome serverd effectively @ bar,food ordered @ bar taken no problem, back ground music just right,food came in an appropriate time, Lasagne we both had very nice indeed.



Will definitely be back soon.

Was very anoyed to be asked to leave our table At 7/30 as it had been reserved but no reserved card on table to state this my freinds and I had been there from two o’clock lunch and many drinks when we moved to the bar four young ladies came and took our seats ordered drinks but no food I did complaine after spending a lot of money through out the day my friends left to visit bar across the rd myself and hubby sat at bar meanwhile the girls that got our table still and did not order food

The pub is looking lovely now after the refurbishment meal was lovely but unhappy that they have took off sticky toffee pudding was looking forward to it as well but staff are all very friendly xx

I eat in here often but have noticed recently that portion sizes are smaller and when ordering chicken kebabs you get two then next time three then two again? However food is usually always nice enough.

My major complaint is the cleanliness, the grooves in tables are filthy and in desperate need of a clean, also there's has been no running hot water in the toilets for a long time and partner says gents toilets are the same which makes me question if there's hot running water in kitchen for chefs etc to wash their hands??? If not it's actually putting me off returning! I work in catering and the thought of not washing hands makes me feel ill. Think both these cleanliness and hygiene issues need attention.

We were in Saturday night about half 5 for a meal were told in a very brusque manner we couldn't as we hadn't made a reservation and there were no tables . We go there every weekend for our dinner and have never made any reservations before and if other people have there is normally signs on table saying so . We went elsewhere for dinner and went back later the same barmaid served our friend and wasn't very polite sorry but the service is normally really good but that night has made a large group of us who go regularly think twice about coming back .

Food was lovely and prices were reasonable. Service was awful and it took an hour for our food to be served and it wasn’t even busy. Was offered complimentary drinks as an apology and these didn’t materialise either ☹️☹️ Would think twice about going back.

Been here for lunch a few time but went in today and the food was not very nice I wasn't very impressed by it the food was very hot we had waited about 25_30 mins to be where as others came in after and served before us then left before us don't think I would rush back sorry

Went in today and must say was with intention to have some lunch but after asking and being told could only sit at one table then to go to bar and be asked if wee were staying as woman who was on said they could do with the table for others wasnt made very welcome so left after a couple of drinks staff are usualy pleasant and friendly i here but was disappointed at the reaction wee recieved customer service and manners cost nothing

Older woman behind bar her attitude was terrible to non regular customers! If you where a regular you got first class treatment. For a couple who ended up trying pub for first time and obv the woman had never seen before the attitude and arrogance from her was disgusting ! Surely the pub should be welcoming and trying to keep customer. The pub along the road was great and welcoming �

Disappointed told no steak after ordering. Then ordered strawberry and chocolate cheesecake but got a cheap bland strawberry cheesecake. Food used to be great but has definitely went downhill.
