About The Labrador'S Pyjamas
Individual, one off pieces of jewellery and hand crafted oddities from the imagination!
The Labrador'S Pyjamas Description
Well worn jumpers, felted and stitched. Soft cotton, eased around a pattern. Imaginary creatures emerging from pre-loved fabrics, to take on a life of their own.
I live in Holywood, Co Down and I am inspired by Redburn Forest. It's a special place; magic happens in those trees. Images flow through me as I walk the tracks with my shiny black labrador, Meg. We drift through the trees, haunting the forest, wandering and wondering.
Animals, birds and trees fascinate me. I like to create, its an obsession I squeeze in between other 'real world' areas of my life. I sometimes leave my creations in the forest, a wren on a branch, two snails on a stone, to add to the forest magic and to make passers by wonder and question.
At the end of the day I ask Meg if she wants 'to put her pyjamas on'. I then remove her collar, hang it neatly on a hook, ready for more adventures tomorrow. . .

Currently planting a little ‘field of hope’ on common ground beside my home. Daffodils are a cheerful sign of spring and a symbol of hope. Next year, when buds appear, we will remember this difficult time but know that hope saw us through
Little feet to be completed then this Kingfisher is ready to fly

South African Sunbird. A cheery chap who loves sunny dry climates. He isn't sure about our rainy Irish summer, but just loves the fact that he cuts a dash with the local birds.

I cut out borders in winter to make a cut flower garden. Planted seeds in spring and this morning my very first home grown sweetpea blossomed! Also the first sky blue borage flower which is edible (so I'm reliably informed!) is currently encased in an ice cube ready for a summer gin :)
