Been a fantastic Easter weekend! Thanks to all our new and returning customers...and to the sun for shining on us ...cheers!

We had food and drink and liked it so much went back several times. Lovely staff and great atmosphere, but not rowdy like some bars can be.

Visited during last weekend of festival. Grassmarket was heaving but managed to get a table outside in the glorious sunshine thanks to the very attentive waitress. Service inside for food and drink was exceptionally fast and the macaroni was amazing!

The people were so nice. The food was great & the atmosphere great! Had a wonderful time.

The haggis were excellent and there was a lady there who said terima kasih (thank you) to make us feel at home. I had the porterhouse steak, I won’t recommend it as it was veiny and hard to chew but the ribeye that my son had was excellent. Oh, it’s free seating, go early to avoid disappointment from getting a table.

Our first visit yesterday, it was very busy. We managed to get a seat, tasty food and very pleasant staff.

This was a good find and we will be back xx

First time in Edinburgh as an adult....this pub was by far the best...the ppl are so friendly & the eerieness of it is what i loved the most. I could sit in there all evening & just take it all in. Fabulous!

Fabulous! Service was excellent. We were a party of 8 with children on a busy Saturday lunch. The guy looking after the outside area couldn’t do enough to help and was really friendly and the manager (I think) also very pleasant . Good menu, beer was very good and the burger was the best I have ever had. I can’t recommend enough.

I had the steak & the hubby had the gammon. With a couple of pints 🍻 We both enjoyed our meals. The steak was great, really tasty. Atmosphere was like any traditional pub, comfortable. Staff were very welcoming. Would definitely recommend to friends 👍

Dropped in (pun) for a quick one and it’s was lovely. The beer was gorgeous and the only downside was they did not have any of the T shirts they sell in large which would have been a lovely souvenir to take home

Got growled at because we didn’t order a meal for our 1yr old who was asleep in her buggie �...otherwise...delicious food and pretty bloody good service too �

Do not eat here. The steak is of the worst quality..they do not cook to order! Was a total waste of money and on my 31st anniversary! The waiter was rude because I could not understand him (he was French I think?) Also I sent the steak back he did not like that.so get a drink that is all..i might add the waiter said they only had water and soda as a choice if I didn't want beer..waist if money if u want fatty meat and horrible service
