About The Lightworks Clinic

The Lightworks Clinic & Laser Training Center offers a unique blend of Low Level Laser Therapy with Traditional Acupuncture, treating people and animals

The Lightworks Clinic Description

Alongside all the benefits of Laser Acupuncture, our specialty is in helping to resolve Sports and Tissue Injuries using the properties of Low Level Laser to deliver non-invasive, drug-free treatment for all types of injury - whether open wound, soft tissue, muscular, tendon, ligament or fracture, spinal injuries and paralysis.

Low Level Laser Therapy is a first line treatment modality - it is recommended, gentle and safe to be given immediately after injury in order to help resolve inflammation and start the healing process - unlike some other modes of treatment that suggest waiting until the inflammatory phase has passed.

Laser Acupuncture is based on the same Principles and Laws as Traditional Acupuncture, but using Laser's aseptic, non-invasive, painless properties instead of needles. Literally . . . 'All the Wisdom of Traditional Acupuncture, without the Needles'

Used in conjunction, these two modes of Laser Therapy have proved to be highly effective in resolving injuries and speeding the whole healing process, at the same time as strengthening the tissue involved - in The Lightworks Clinic this is backed by 25 years of experience in the field.

Remember . . . the earlier the treatment, the better the results ! !

MESSAGE FROM AHMEDABAD , INDIA .....
I can't believe three weeks have passed so quickly !!!
Currently volunteering at JCT (Jivdaya Charitable Trust) set up to take in all and every, unowned injured animal from around the city - whether it be dogs, cats, cattle, bats, monkeys or tortoises !! ... However I am principally here, with Laser in hand, to help with the thousands (and I mean that literally) of birds injured during the two-day Uttarayan Kite Festival - a huge, now International, event held over two days, in which thousands and thousands of kites are flown over the whole of the city to celebrate the beginning of Spring.
Alas, during the Festival untold numbers of birds unwittingly fly into the kite strings - made worse by the fact that it is also the migration season. Now, although the Festival is over, injuries are still being sustained by birds, and animals, becoming entangled in the, immensely strong, loose strings of kites cut down.... exacerbated by the fact that the strings of the 'fighting kites' are coated in ground-glass !!! The injuries are horrific, with the worst ending in permanent wing damage resulting in the inability to fly, or amputation or death.
It has been almost non-stop, 7 days a week, since I arrived - during which time I have given over 200 treatments to 16 species of bird.... large and small - from Pelican to Perigrin, Ibis, Eagle, Kite and Flamingo to Godwit - none are immune to the possibility of getting caught up !! In fact the newspaper clip below is reporting that an amazing 13 TONS of kite string has been gathered up from around the state of Gujurat !!
However, it is not all disheartening news, as the recently published JCT stats show.... a staggering 86.5% Success Ratio for those birds brought into the Centre.
Thankfully the pace is now beginning to slow down and I can return home for a rest ... until next year !!
