The nachos were good after a long cycle and the place let us in although we were covered in mud which was great. The coffee was slightly too strong but the mocha was great.

Amazing views! Good food available from cafe and staff are very friendly. Also can’t beat a bit of free WiFi without being made to purchase anything.

Very informative visitor centre. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Cafe is superb with stunning views.

Beautiful views from the lodge and some awesome nature walks with a nearby waterfall and a hide to view red squirrels. Well worth a visit. The lodge has a cafe and bathrooms and for the adventurous there is a go ape just outside.

Good area to get out and about. Plenty of walking routes available mostly on forest tracks, with plenty of opportunities to detour up to the hills ie. Done the Duke's Trail with detour to the top of Craigmore 387m track can be rocky mud in places fine view from the top. There is also GO APE for the more adventurous located beside visitors centre. All in all a good place to spend the day. Car parking available, but there is a charge for it.

so much to do and plenty space to walk around ... and different disabled access . to some walks

Main selling point here is the Go Ape attraction of a series of zip wire rides. But if, like me, you're not interested in that there are plenty of lovely trailed and off-road walks in the area.

User

Worth a visit although the centre is not dog friendly so had to suffice with a good walk mapped out on the available information sheet.
Hide was good with numerous birds and red squirrels in view.

Interesting exhibits, friendly staff and a tasty cafe. Made an excellent base for a day exploring the forest.
