What a lovely sunny day for some Easter Fun! Great afternoon with dedicated clue hunters, lovely music by Kate Kyle, fun and games on the activities and lots of ice cream (thanks for the cones, Paul!) How kind of D and G Police Constable Anderson to also come up and bring his fancy police car and police uniforms for the kids to try! Thank you so so much to all who donated: Tam and Nic for the amazing Easter eggs, Beauty by Donna for the beauty voucher and Dalscone (thanks Si...mon) for the kids’ voucher. Thanks also Simon and Tam for the use and set up of the water stocks- perfect on a day like today! We are also grateful to friends for their help - and our own Easter Bunny! A last thank you to Zoe for all her hard work in organising (and her fab poster design!) The main raffle prize was won by Mark Hughes, and the £65 raised in the sale of raffle tickets will go to the charity of his choice, which is Cancer Research. Thank you again and feel free to tag yourself in the photos!

PART TIME HOUSEKEEPER
A vacancy has arisen at The Manor Country House Hotel in Torthorwald for a Part Time Housekeeper.
... The role involves ensuring the Bar, Restaurant, surrounding public areas and the Toilets are cleaned each morning, any bedrooms used are cleaned and/or replenished where necessary, and also includes assisting at periodic Daytime meal or buffet functions
The Hours of work are variable due to the nature of the business therefore the applicant must be flexible with their working hours availability. Normally it would be 5 Days with a 9am start for approximately 3 to 4 hours, although some afternoons are required, and would also involve weekend mornings.
The rate of pay (for over 18’s) is £8.25 per hour The successful applicant(s) must be of a pleasant disposition, able to be Customer facing, will be trustworthy, taking a pride in their work, and be conscientious to ensure that the high standards now in place at the hotel are maintained. Previous experience would be a benefit. Job share would be considered Due to the hotel location, and the flexible hours the usage of a car would be advantageous.
