You know I've been going to mash house for days. Remember 1994 when it first started and I have never missed a night since then. Always had the best patriotic tunes, reminds me of motherland. Would recommend this club to all my comrades.

User

What a great venue! Just what Edinburgh needs. An underground vibe but at the same time a nice place (i.e. you won't have to wipe your shoes on the way out!!). Nice front bar for hanging about for a few drinks and the main room is just perfect for club nights. Fairly compact but it packs a punch with a fantastic sound system and great lighting.

User

Very cool place! Played there a couple of times and every time has been a good experience. Good sound engineers!

User

This is by far my favourite venue for the gigs. The staff are friendly, the sound is great and the atmosphere is always buzzing!

User

Mash is the best club I've ever been to in the while world. Would give a solid 10/10. Elliot is defo the best member of stag although Sloan is a close 2nd.

User

Ive been a promoter in Edinburgh now for 15 years and I can't think of a better venue for sound, atmosphere, staff and bouncers...This place has become my second home over the past 2 years. Excellent hire rates, equipment always top notch....Cant recommend this place enough as a promoter or punter. 10/10.

User

Great venue, great vibe, great staff. Stephen Kellogg was absolutely amazing, so was Eric Hutchinson, Hugh Kelly and Humors! Will definitely come back as it was such an enjoyable night!

User

Great venue, great sound system and excellent staff. Had the privilege of hanging one of my Artworks of Andrew Weatherall and Sean Johnston in the venue for a No Strings Attached A Love from outer space gig. Also captured some great pictures with Andrew and Sean with the Artwork in the venue after the gig, all round winner and great nights in there.

User

Favourite club in town that attracts the coolest, most chilled crowd :D

User

Fantastic venue, & the staff are always welcoming & amazing!! Best place to go for a night out! The atmosphere is just out of this world & you always leave on a high. Love this place.

User

By far the best venue in Edinburgh. The flyerers are proper mint, as are all the staff!

User

Best nightclub/venue Ive been to in my puff, dont miss out

User

Best club in Edinburgh. :)

User

An important player in Edinburgh's music scene, tucked away from the commercial chaos, people who go there only go for one thing "The Music" - It's great to work with such switched on staff, always a friendly atmosphere on the dancefloor. Here's to many more gigs!

User

Nice venue in an awkward location, sort of midway between the Cowgate and Guthrie street, so stairs. Loads of them. Not ideal for disabled folks but a good sized stage and acoustics for small to mid-sized acts. Clean toilets and friendly staff. Decent selection of beers on offer.

User

Positives - Mash Ale and Mash Lager don't cost an arm and a leg and tasted ok

Shelves to put your beer on. Decor/ambience was good. Staff were helpful and pleasant to deal with.

Negatives - Sound was not great and problems with feedback. I was glad I had my in ear db reducing ear plugs to make the sound bearable.

User

We had a Bday Party last night, started preparations a couple of weeks ago. Met with the staff and requested a couple of things and asked if volume is an issue. Of course there was no problem with all our modest request, and Yes was the answer for everything. We've sent an email listing and confirming our conversation.

But on the day of the party the guy we spoke to wasn't there and no information was passed to the other staff members. No one clean the tolilet on our floor, the floor was washed just before the even, I almost fell down twice. We were assured we can pay with cards at the bar, during the party we had to pay with cash. One corner full of folder chairs, even if we were told they will be removed, no promised tables for the DJ's. No promised lights.

Also some member staff came to ask to lower the volume (!).

Its such a nice space, but the staff service and level of bullshit is a bit too high. Definitely will look for a different venue.

User

The clients of this hell hole are the most anti social and inconsiderate ever. They fight, vomit on the street and strew it with bottle. They keep our families awake and are abusive. Total hell!

User

My daughter was there from Glasgow on Saturday night. She was a bit drunk and went outside to get fresh air. When she tried to get back in they wouldn't allow her, said she was too drunk. That may be the case but they left her outside with no jacket, phone, purse or friends! This left her in a very vulnerable and dangerous situation, even after asking if she could get back in to let her friends know and collect her things they would not allow her back. There must be some policy to ensure the safety of their clientele. Even if they'd offered her some water and time to sober up. Don't let your children go there, or if they do, drink lemonade
