User

Just wanted to give the Millhouse a positive review for the lovely afternoon we’ve just had. Service was fantastic and food lovely. Would like to individually give a big thank you to Dawn Borland for looking after us so well. We never had to pour our own presseco - which is a sure sign of great customer service.

User

Had a wonderful meal today for my mums birthday using the gift card I won via Facebook. I ordered the soup not realising it was cream based and they very happily changed it for something else without hesitation, this is why I love the Millhouse. Thank u xx

User

First time in the millhouse for meal for my aunty Birthday was amazing friendly staff food was great night last night definitely be back somepoint

User

Excellent night and experience.

The place is beautiful, great atmosphere.

Ideal for everyone.

Food delicious and the presentation is outstanding. Cocktails went down a treat.

Thank you to the staff and the laugh we had when they watched us exchanging gifts.

Highly recommend and will be back very soon.

User

Came here on 3rd of March with my partner for our anniversary meal. It was our first visit here and absolutely loved the experience . We were sat right at the door to begin with which was a wee bit cold but fine. One member of staff noticed I was cold and without hesitation offered to move us to a warmer table! We each had a 3 course meal to which was delicious we also got given 2 mocktails on the house for our anniversary which was a lovely touch! Will definitely be back. Thank you for a lovely experience. Our favourite buzzworks so far xx

User

Brilliant meal in a very relaxed atmosphere. Great service made our anniversary really special, will definitely be back for more.

User

Amazing food and great staff. I love the mill house

User

Food was excellent - however I was a bit disappointed with the service. I eventually had to attract a waitress to get our main course ordered and the same thing happened with the dessert.

User

Dinner last night with family. Great variety on menu! I finally opted for the veggie fajitas. They were delish! My main complaint was there was no guacamole as a side...only sour cream and salsa. I also prefer pico de gallo to salsa. However, veggies were piping hot and perfectly spiced. I’d go back for more in a heartbeat!

User

Went yesterday for the first time. Lunch. There were a couple of issues for us. The soup roll was hard and inedible. But replaced with bread on request. Main course ok. Coffee and strawberry tart ordered. Coffee came quickly but had to remind them of the tart. Service was attentive but slow. Even had to ask twice for the bill. However we won’t be put off by this first visit. Well worth another try.

User

Good food but my god the portion size of my tempura wouldnt feed my two year old child and as for the steak pie am pritty sure it was just a pie! As a frequent diner here im not impressed at all as of late

User

First time having a meal here. Called late in the day to book a table for 7.30pm as we had been shopping all day and were accommodated within hesitation. We were seated promptly and served our drinks quickly too. Ordered our starters and mains and when girl brought starter they had given us a prawn tempura rather than chicken. Wait to rectify this wasn't too long. Mains took quite a while as did desserts but we couldn't fault the food at all. Very tasty and menu was excellent. The restaurant was pretty busy (not sure if this is the norm or not) but at 9.30pm we asked for the bill. Whilst finishing our drinks we noticed a larger table that had ordered desserts long after us leaving and paying their bill. When we asked again for the bill the lady went away to sort then apologised on her return as she had forgotten we had already asked for it! 30 mins to get the bill seemed rather long and although the food was tasty, I feel the service let the Mill House down on this occasion.

User

Came in last night for dinner with my partner and booked beforehand. Restaurant looked busy but not out of control, still empty tables visible. We ordered and waited 35 minutes for starters, by the time our main course came we had been at the table for an hour and 25 minutes. Waitress was lovely and apologetic and food was nice when it came however that length of time is unacceptable. We paid £50 for a starter each, a main each and 1 soft drink each. Didn’t wait for pudding because we wanted home before midnight! Although the food was nice, combined with the wait it’s definitely not worth £50!

User

Called in for lunch today. Ordered from set menu ie 2 courses for £12.50. Reasonable choice on menu. We both had haggis bonbons to start. Bonbons were sitting in large dollops of chutney which made then a bit soggy on the bottom. My husband ordered macaroni cheese with chicken for his main but when it arrived there was no chicken added. When that was pointed out, no effort was made to rectify the mistake. Been at Mill House a few times now and always come away a wee bit disappointed.

User

went here for dinner a few weeks ago. took around fifteen minutes for a drink order to be brought to the table and another ten for our order to be taken. I had ordered mussels to start and was told another ten minutes later there were none. We both ordered tempura which I have had previously in Millhouse and other Buzzworks restaurants. The tempura batter was heavy, overcooked and the broccoli was burnt. We were disappointed with the meal and the service time, we have been here several times but wont be rushing back.

User

Phoned at 11.30am this morning to book a table. I was told there was no need to book as plenty of space for walk in' s. Arrive to be told there is no space. Your customer service is a joke and seriously needs looked at. Does anyone actually read the reviews here from buzzworks? Your reviews are getting steadily worse and worse. Such a shame as the food is nice, but your customer service is pathetic.
